Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini karena masih rendahnya kemampuan motorik halus anak dan media pembelajaran yang disajikan oleh guru kurang menarik, maka diperlukan media yang tepat dalam menstimulus kemampuan motorik halus anak, yaitu menggunakan media meronce bahan alam. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui metode pembelajaran meronce bahan alam dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan referensi model yang digunakan dari kemmis dan MC Taggrat. Alur penelitian yaitu tahap rancangan, penentuan tindakan, observasi dan evaluasi. Teknik pengumpulan datanya melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Dengan subjek penelitian anak usia 5-6 tahun dari TK Melati yang berjumlah 16 anak yang terdiri dari enam perempuan dan sepuluh laki-laki. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kuantitatif jenis statistika deskriptif, disajikan dengan nilai persentase. Hasil peningkatan kemampuan motorik halus anak pada siklus berada 15% anak yang mencapai kategori berkembang sesuai harapan (BSH0. Setelah adanya tindakanpada siklus 1 mengalami peningkatan sebesar 21% dengan kategori Berkembang Sesuai Harapan (BSH). Pada Siklus II terjadi peningkatan signifikan yaitu 81% dengan kategori Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB), 19% mencapai kategori Berkembang Sesuai Harapan (BSH) dan 0% Kategori Mulai Berembag (MB).   The low fine motor skills observed in children and the lack of engaging learning media provided by teachers motivate this research. To address these issues, appropriate media are required to stimulate fine motor development, specifically through the use of natural material stringing activities. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of stringing natural materials as a learning method to improve fine motor skills in early childhood. The methodology employed is Classroom Action Research (CAR), following the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included 16 children aged 5–6 years at Melati Kindergarten, comprising six girls and ten boys. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and presented as percentages. Preliminary results showed that only 15% of the children reached the "Developing as Expected" category. After the intervention in Cycle I, this figure increased to 21%. By Cycle II, a significant improvement was observed: 81% of the children reached the "Developing Very Well" category, 19% achieved the "Developing as Expected" category, and 0% remained in the "Starting to Develop" category. It is concluded that the use of natural material stringing media effectively enhances the fine motor skills of children at Melati Kindergarten.
