Abstract

Al-Qur’an as a guide for Muslims is a source of knowledge. There are scientific clues that are summarized in the verses of the kauniyah. One of the topics discussed is about iron in Surah Al-Hadid verse 25. In this verse, it is explained about the origin of iron, its strength, and its benefits for humans. The analysis and explanation of the verse were carried out using a qualitative method of literature study. The results show that the origin of iron comes from nuclear fusion reactions of stars then explode and fall to earth via meteors. The uses of iron cover various lines of life, especially when it is reduced to nanometers in size. One example is an iron oxide from the iron sand which is used as a medium for drug delivery systems and cancer hyperthermia therapy. The correlation and suitability of the information from the Qur’an with the results of the study show a confirmative and integrated relationship.

Abstract

RF Sputtering has been widely used as a deposition system on thin films. This study examines the impact of input power on RF voltage and self-bias voltage in an RF Sputtering system operating at a frequency of 13.56 MHz. Power variations were carried out in the range of 50 to 150 Watts to observe the changes in voltage produced during the plasma formation process. The experimental results indicate a linear dependency between power and both voltages, with a coefficient of determination (R²) above 0.9 and slope values of 2.86 and 0.96 for the RF voltage and self-bias voltage, respectively. The observed linear correlation indicates that adjusting power regulation can be utilized as an effective control parameter for both voltages, enabling the production of uniform and high-quality thin film deposition.

Abstract

This paper compares silver (Ag) and aluminum (Al) as patch materials for a microstrip dipole antenna to examine how their electrical conductivities affect electromagnetic radiation performance. Both antennas were designed with identical geometrical and substrate parameters using the Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) method, varying only the patch material. Simulation results show that the resonant frequencies are 2.4700 GHz for Ag and 2.4649 GHz for Al, with excellent VSWR values 1.0839 and 1.0836 and return loss below –27 dB. Both materials exhibit reflected power below 0.2% and have nearly identical radiated power, namely 0.3647 W for silver (Ag) and 0.3646 W for aluminum (Al). Overall, silver and aluminum demonstrate almost identical radiation characteristics. Silver offers slightly better conductivity, while aluminum provides similar efficiency at lower cost, making it a practical alternative for lightweight and economical microstrip antenna applications.

Abstract

Advances in computing technology are driving the development of advanced materials research. This study aims to model and compare the semiconductor properties of ZnO and ZnO doped with Cd (x=0.5) to form Zn0.5Cd0.5O using a computational approach based on Python Materials Genomics (Pymatgen 3.0) approach within a Python 3.10.18 environment. Modeling was carried out to analyze changes in crystal structure, band gap values, and the correlation between charge carrier concentration and temperature. BSDOS Plotter based on Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations, was used for energy and Density of States (DOS) graph analysis. The simulation results show that the crystal structure of both materials has a wurtzite lattice shape with angles α = β = 90° and χ = 119°. The band gap value of ZnO is obtained at 3.1 eV, while in Zn0.5Cd0.5O it decreases to 2.7 eV due to the influence of Cd doping which lowers the conduction band energy. The temperature ranges from 500K to 600 K the charge carrier concentration in ZnO increases from 3x10⁵/cm³ to 10⁸/cm³. Meanwhile, the concentrations of electron and hole Zn0.5Cd0.5O increase to 10⁸/cm³ and 7x10⁷/cm.

Abstract

The elongation sensor based on the singlemode–multimode–singlemode (SMS) optical fiber structure is an interesting candidate for strain measurement applications, as its optical response is quite sensitive to light propagation changes in the multimode section. Even so, temperature's influence should not be overlooked, as it affects the sensor's response and is a parameter that warrants serious consideration during calibration. Based on this, the study examined the extent to which temperature affects the elongation sensitivity of a silica-based SMS optical fiber sensor, using a 5.4 cm multimode segment tested at a wavelength of 1310 nm. Testing covered three temperature variations (38, 48, and 58 °C), with elongation applied gradually from 0 to 100 µm in 10 µm increments, and each point was repeated 3 times to evaluate short-term repeatability. Changes in optical loss (dB) were used as the main indicator of the sensor's response. The results showed a fairly consistent pattern, optical loss tended to increase with elongation across all three tested temperatures. The linear regression results showed a sensitivity of 0.002388 dB/µm at 38 °C, increasing to 0.002723 dB/µm at 48 °C and reaching 0.003062 dB/µm at 58 °C. The respective R² values were 0.9378, 0.9273, and 0.9346. These values confirming a near-linear relationship between optical loss and elongation within this testing range. When the temperature was raised from 38 to 58 °C, the sensitivity increased approximately 28%. The relatively small standard deviation further supports the sensor's fairly good repeatability. Overall, these results indicate that temperature needs to be incorporated into the calibration process of SMS elongation sensors. However, these findings remain preliminary and apply specifically to the tested configuration, namely a 5.4 cm MMF segment at 1310 nm, within a temperature range of 38–58 °C and elongation of 0–100 µm. Abstract

Sebelum kegiatan, 100% responden menyatakan belum pernah memperoleh edukasi langsung mengenai PLTS.
