The activity was conducted at SMP Negeri 18 Banda Aceh involving 30 students as participants. The method used was an educative-participatory approach through interactive lectures, demonstrations, and direct practice using the RICE method (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation). Data were collected through pre-test and post-test to measure students’ knowledge improvement. The results showed a significant increase in the average score from 55.3 in the pre-test to 80.7 in the post-test, representing a 46% improvement. In addition, 90% of students were able to correctly perform injury handling techniques, and the level of active participation reached 95%. These findings indicate that the training was effective in enhancing students’ understanding and practical skills. The activity also had a positive impact on students’ awareness of the importance of injury prevention in sports activities. Therefore, training on sports injury management and prevention can be an effective, safe, and sustainable strategy in physical education learning in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of multiball training on the forehand drive ability of table tennis athletes at Club Pimpong Aceh Besar. The study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method through a one-group pretest–posttest design. The research sample consists of 8 table tennis athletes selected using a total sampling technique. The research instrument is a forehand drive ability test administered before and after the multiball training treatment. Descriptive analysis results show that the mean score of athletes’ forehand drive ability in the pretest is 36.75 with a standard deviation of 5.63, while in the posttest it increases to 46.50 with a standard deviation of 6.59. The normality test using the Shapiro–Wilk test shows that the pretest data have a significance value of 1.000 (> 0.05) and the posttest data have a significance value of 0.995 (> 0.05), indicating that the data are normally distributed. Hypothesis testing using the paired t-test shows a calculated t value of 19.44 with 7 degrees of freedom (df) and a significance value (p-value) of 0.000 (< 0.05). Based on these results, it can be concluded that multiball training has a significant effect on improving the forehand drive ability of table tennis athletes at Club Pimpong Aceh Besar. Multiball training can be used as an effective training method in developing basic table tennis techniques at the club level

Abstract

Sports is one of the subjects taught and is very popular among students, especially at the elementary school level. Physical education at the elementary school level plays a crucial role in shaping character, motor skills, and instilling sportsmanship values from an early age. Despite the development of these sports, many types of sports are still unknown to students. One of these is rugby, resulting in a low number of rugby players, especially in Aceh. User validation and student responses were conducted at SD Negeri 18 Banda Aceh and SD Negeri Ateuk Aceh Besar. The results showed that the book is suitable as a teaching material for rugby learning in schools. The book received an average score of 88.5% from material experts, with very valid criteria. The book received a score of 93.6% from design experts and is in the very valid criteria with minor improvements. The average score of the book's assessment by teachers as users was 93% and is in the very suitable criteria for use in sports learning in schools. Overall, students' responses to the book received an average score of 90%. This concludes that the book is suitable and appropriate for use.
