Abstract

Traditional games have significant potential in developing students’ social skills; however, their application in formal education remains limited. This study is motivated by the importance of social interaction skills as essential competencies for students in communication, cooperation, empathy, and conflict resolution. The traditional game selodor was selected because, in addition to its cultural value, it provides real opportunities for students to engage in meaningful interactions within an enjoyable and collaborative environment. This research employed a quantitative approach with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population consisted of 60 students from grades IV and V at SDN 1 Mamben Daya in the 2023/2024 academic year, with a purposive sample of 40 students equally divided into experimental and control groups. The research instrument was a social interaction skills questionnaire covering communication, cooperation, empathy, and conflict resolution, which had been validated and tested for reliability. Data were collected through a pretest, treatment involving six sessions of selodor, and a posttest, and then analyzed using the t-test at a 0.05 significance level. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students’ social interaction skills in the experimental group compared to the control group. These results indicate that the selodor game effectively enhances students’ abilities to build social relationships, manage differences, and actively participate in group activities.In conclusion, the study confirms that the traditional game selodor is effective as a pedagogical strategy for fostering social interaction skills among elementary school students. The implications highlight the need for teachers to integrate traditional games into classroom learning and extracurricular activities to strengthen students’ social competence and character development.

Abstract

Education is the process of creating the nation's next generation which determines life in the future. Education is a very important process and cannot be separated from human life, to form a superior personality. Study This is the development of learning media for students' school-based interactive and digital-based. Study this aims to produce learning media that can touch aspect awareness environment for students school base. Study this was done based on findings of problems with learning about the acquired environment from interviews with the class teacher on one school State foundation in Seriwe. Learning media is used in the learning process about the environment only using learning videos. Inclined use of learning media monotonous not enough give encourage in development attitude students about the environment in State Elementary Schools. There are several design learning media development models interactive at SDN 1 Seriwe including analysis development syllabus, plan learning, and teaching. Based on the results of data interviews many teachers at SDN 1 Seriwe have Not yet made syllabi, plan learning, and teaching materials. This is what causes it to obstruct the media development process. Besides that design/development model learning is also necessary so that students do not feel bored inside class So need to make changes and design the class.

Abstract

Kemampuan berbicara merupakan aspek krusial dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di tingkat sekolah dasar. Namun, seringkali siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengekspresikan ide secara lisan akibat kurangnya kepercayaan diri dan terbatasnya kesempatan untuk berlatih berbicara di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V SDN 1 Mamben Lauk melalui penerapan model pembelajaran role playing.​ Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus, masing-masing meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SDN 1 Mamben Lauk tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan tes keterampilan berbicara, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif.​ Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model role playing secara signifikan meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa. Siswa menjadi lebih aktif, percaya diri, dan mampu mengungkapkan ide secara lisan dengan lebih baik. Peningkatan ini terlihat dari skor keterampilan berbicara yang meningkat pada setiap siklus. Temuan ini sejalan dengan penelitian sebelumnya yang menunjukkan bahwa model role playing efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa sekolah dasar.​ Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa model pembelajaran role playing efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Disarankan agar guru menggunakan model ini sebagai alternatif strategi pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa.

Abstract

The utilization of the surrounding environment as a learning resource is an effective strategy to create contextual, meaningful, and engaging learning experiences for elementary school students. This study was motivated by the need for innovative learning approaches that connect school subjects with students' real-life contexts, particularly those found in their immediate surroundings. The purpose of this study was to describe the forms, processes, and impacts of utilizing the local environment as a learning resource at SDN 4 Mamben Lauk. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. The informants included the principal, teachers, students, and parents. The results showed that the environment was used across various subjects such as science, mathematics, and Indonesian language through learning activities conducted in gardens, shops, rivers, and nearby homes. These practices positively affected students' motivation, active participation, and conceptual understanding. Moreover, environmental-based learning fostered stronger involvement from parents and the local community in the educational process. The study concludes that the surrounding environment has great potential as a learning resource that can enrich students' learning experiences if used systematically, creatively, and collaboratively between schools and communities. It is recommended that teacher training be enhanced and contextual, locally-based curricula be developed.
