Basically, parents and teachers expect their children to be independent and disciplined in their daily lives. Independent behavior and discipline in early childhood still need support and assistance from adults in order to develop optimally. To make this happen, then certainly there must be prepared the right form of support in developing children's independence and discipline. Independence and discipline need to be instilled from an early age because it is the most potential age to learn new things. Provide support so that children are independent and disciplined in the form of guidance. Independence and discipline behavior of these students can experience change through the right way. One way to develop the character of students' independence and discipline is through the teacher's skills in guiding students during the learning process. Achievement of teacher guidance is an effort in strengthening the development of independence and discipline of children in the future. This study uses action research method. Research Results show the influence of teachers in guiding students can develop the character of independence and discipline. This can be seen by the changes in the independence and discipline of students from cycles I, II, III. So that it can be concluded that the learning process through teacher guidance can develop the character of students' independence and discipline. Keywords: Teacher Guidance, Independence, Discipline and Early Childhood. Abstrak Pada dasarnya orangtua dan guru mengharapkan anak-anaknya dapat mandiri dan disiplin dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Perilaku mandiri dan disiplin pada anak usia dini masih memerlukan dukungan dan bantuan dari orang dewasa agar dapat berkembang secara optimal. Untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut, maka tentu harus dipersiapkan bentuk dukungan yang tepat dalam mengembangkan kemandirian dan kedisiplinan anak. Kemandirian dan kedisiplinan perlu ditanamkan sejak usia dini karena merupakan usia yang paling potensial dalam mempelajari hal-hal yang baru. Memberikan dukungan agar anak mandiri dan disiplin dilaksanakan dalam bentuk bimbingan. Perilaku kemandirian dan kedisiplinan siswa tersebut dapat mengalami perubahan melalui cara yang tepat. Salah satu cara untuk mengembangan karakter kemandirian dan kedisiplinan siswa yaitu melalui keterampilan guru dalam membimbing siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Ketercapaian bimbingan guru menjadi suatu upaya dalam memperkuat pengembangan kemandirian dan kedisiplinan anak di masa depan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh guru dalam membimbing siswa dapat mengembangkan karakter kemandirian dan kedisiplinan anak. Hal ini dapat dilihat dengan adanya perubahan kemandirian dan kedisiplinan siswa dari siklus I, II, III. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa proses pembelajaran melalui bimbingan guru dapat mengembangkan karakter kemandirian dan kedisiplinan siswa.
