This research is a quasi experiment that aimed to know the influence of implementation cooperative learning method type RTE towards student’s understanding of mathematical concept. The research design was posttest onlycontrol group design. The research population were all students of 8th grade class of Junior High School State five Bandar Lampung academic year 2012/2013. The sample of this research was gotten by Perposive Random Sampling technique. Based on data analysis, it was got that student’s mathematical understanding concept used cooperative learning method type RTE was higher than konventional learning. However, student’s learning completeness using cooperative learning method type RTE wasn’t achieved the target. Thus, the implementation of cooperative learning method type RTE wasn’t influenced toward student’s understanding of mathematical concept.Keyword: Influence, RTE, Mathematical Concept
