STRATEGI REACT DAN PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI LARUTAN PENYANGGA

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan pengaruh strategi REACT terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMA Negeri 5 pada materi larutan penyangga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diperoleh dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor posttest kelas kontrol adalah 38,52 dan rata-rata skor posttest kelas eksperimen adalah 52,78. Berdasarkan  uji U-Mann Whitney, diperoleh Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) = 0,000 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa kelas kontrol dan siswa kelas eksperimen pada materi larutan penyangga. Hasil dari perhitungan effect size adalah 1,3 yang berarti strategi REACT memberikan pengaruh yang besar terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa.   Kata Kunci: Strategi REACT, Hasil Belajar, Larutan Penyangga   Abstract: The Purpose of this study was to determine the effect of REACT strategy toward learning outcome of SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak students on buffer solution material. The study was quasi-experimental with the study design was nonequivalent control group design. The study samples were the students of XI grade of IPA 3 as experimental class and XI grade of IPA 4 as control class that was determined by cluster random sampling technique. Data were collected by using learning outcome test. The results of the study showed that the average score of posttest control group was 38.52 and the average score of posttest experimental class was 52.78. According to U-Mann Whitney test, Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) was 0.000 which meant that there was a difference in learning outcome between the control class and experimental class students on buffer solution material. The result of the calculation of effect size was 1.3, which meant REACT strategy provided a major influence on improving student learning outcome.   Keywords: REACT Strategy, Learning Outcome, Buffer Solution
