Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan representasi matematis siswa setelah pembelajaran melalui pendekatan kontekstual berbantuan komik matematika pada materi SPLDV. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode pra-eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian perbandingan kelompok statis. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas VIII D sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII E sebagai kelas kontrol di MTs N 1 Pontianak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang diberikan pembelajaran melalui pendekatan kontekstual berbantuan komik matematika adalah 29,43 dan skor rata-rata kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang diberikan pembelajaran konvensional adalah 31,57 serta tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang diberikan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kontekstual berbantuan komik matematika dan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang diberikan pembelajaran konvensional. Kata kunci: Pendekatan Kontekstual, Komik Matematika, Kemampuan Representasi Matematis Abstract: This research aims to find out students? mathematical representation ability after learning by using contextual teaching and learning assisted mathematic comic in two variables linear equations systems material. This research used experiment method with static group comparison research form. The subject of this research was students of VII D as experiment class and VIII E as control class at MTs N 1 Pontianak. The research result showed that average score of students? mathematical representation ability that was given contextual teaching and learning assisted mathematic comic is 29,43 and average score of students? mathematical representation ability that was given convensional learning is 31,57, also there?s no difference of students? mathematical representation ability that was given contextual learning and teaching assisted mathematic comic dan students? mathematical representation ability that was given convensional learning.
