AbstractThe aim of this research is to describe mathematical connection ability in materials of cube and cuboid based on junior high school's students' creativities. The aspects that was wanted to be clarified, namely: students' mathematical connection ability are creativity on fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. studied from visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles This research measures creativity on four levels: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The research method used is descriptive method in the form of case study. Data collection techniques used are writing test of mathematical connection ability and interview. The subjects of this research are 37 nineth-grade students of SMPN 2 Pontianak. The result showed that students' mathematical connection ability based on creativity's fluency had a percentage of 88.50%, while based on creativity's flexibility had a percentage of 77.70%, creativity's originality had a percentage of 61.40% and creativity's elaboration had a percentage of 39.80%. In the end, it can be deduced that students' mathematical connection ability in materials of cube and cuboid based on junior high school's students' creativities was in the range of good category with percentage of 66.5%.Keywords: Creativity, Mathematical Connection Ability.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan representasi matematis siswa setelah pembelajaran melalui pendekatan kontekstual berbantuan komik matematika pada materi SPLDV. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode pra-eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian perbandingan kelompok statis. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas VIII D sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII E sebagai kelas kontrol di MTs N 1 Pontianak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang diberikan pembelajaran melalui pendekatan kontekstual berbantuan komik matematika adalah 29,43 dan skor rata-rata kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang diberikan pembelajaran konvensional adalah 31,57 serta tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang diberikan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kontekstual berbantuan komik matematika dan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang diberikan pembelajaran konvensional. Kata kunci: Pendekatan Kontekstual, Komik Matematika, Kemampuan Representasi Matematis Abstract: This research aims to find out students? mathematical representation ability after learning by using contextual teaching and learning assisted mathematic comic in two variables linear equations systems material. This research used experiment method with static group comparison research form. The subject of this research was students of VII D as experiment class and VIII E as control class at MTs N 1 Pontianak. The research result showed that average score of students? mathematical representation ability that was given contextual teaching and learning assisted mathematic comic is 29,43 and average score of students? mathematical representation ability that was given convensional learning is 31,57, also there?s no difference of students? mathematical representation ability that was given contextual learning and teaching assisted mathematic comic dan students? mathematical representation ability that was given convensional learning. AbstractThis research aimed to know and describe the effeectiveness implementation of cooperative type Team Games Tournament in Trigonometry learning at SMA N 08 Pontianak. The research method used in this study was pre-experimental with a one shot case study design. The aspects used to determine the effectiveness of the team games tournament model were the activities of students, the application of teachers in managing learning, and student learning outcomes. The data collection tool used was a test of student learning outcomes, which contains 5 essay questions, observation sheets the process of implementing teachers in the management of learning, observation sheets of student activities, research data analyzed descriptively. It was obtained that the activities of the students were classified as quite active at 70%. the teacher's implementation process in managing learning is very good, namely 3,635. Classical student mastery learning  was not fulfilled, there were 27 students or 77% of student who achieve the minimum completeness scores. Learning by using the team games tournament model on trigonometry learning in Pontianak 8 High School is said to be ineffective. Keywords: Application, Cooperative Team Games Tournament Model, Trigonometry Learning

AbstrakPemahaman translasi berkaitan dengan kemampuan siswa dalam memodelkan atau mepresentasikan, menerjemahkan kalimat dalam soal permasalahan ke dalam bentuk lain. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan translasi representasi matematika dari bentuk verbal ke simbolik dan sebaliknya dalam menyelesaikan soal Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel. Jenis penelitian ini adalah studi kasus dengan subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 01 Pontianak yang terdiri dari 6 orang siswa yang berbeda tingkat kemampuannya yaitu kemampuan atas, menengah dan bawah. Tes yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes tertulis yang berbentuk essay. Data yang diperoleh dari memberikan soal kepada subjek penelitian kemudian memberikan skor jawaban dan mendeskripsikan hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan translasi dari bentuk verbal ke simbolik (V-S) dengan kategori baik dengan rata-rata skor 3,5, sedangkan kemampuan translasi dari bentuk simbolik ke verbal (S-V) termasuk dalam kategori kurang. Hal ini di tunjukkan dari skor rata-rata siswa yang mendapatkan skor 2.Kata kunci : translasi, representasi matematika, kemampuan

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model Means Ends Analysis (MEA) dan Direct Intruction (DI) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dalam materi kubus dan balok di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experimental design) dengan rancangan penelitian randomized control-group pretest-posttest design. Sampel ditentukan melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model MEA dan DI terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yaitu: 1) sebelum pembelajaran dengan model MEA kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematisnya sebesar 43% dengan kategori sedang, setelah pembelajaran menjadi 60% dengan kategori tinggi. 2) sebelum pembelajaran dengan model DI kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematisnya sebesar 45% dengan kategori sedang, setelah pembelajaran menjadi 55% dengan kategori sedang. Hal ini menggambarkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis pada pembelajaran dengan model MEA lebih baik daripada model DI.  Kata kunci : Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis, MEA, DI. Abstract: This research aims to find out comparison the effect of  Means Ends Analysis (MEA) and Direct Instruction (DI) application models toward the mathematical problem solving ability of students’ in geometry of VIIIth grades SMP Negeri 7 Pontianak. The research method used is a quasi experimental method with randomized control-group pretest-posttest design. Samples was determined by cluster random sampling techniques.  Results of data analysis showed that there was the effect of application of MEA and DI models toward the matematial problem solving ability of students, namely: 1) Before learning with MEA model the mathematical problem solving ability of 43% with medium category, after learning becomes of 60% with advaned category. 2) Before learning with DI model the mathematical problem solving ability of 45% with medium category, after learning becomes of 55% with medium category. This illustrates that mathematical problem solving ability on learning with MEA model is better than DI model.  Keywords : Mathematical Problem Solving Ability, MEA, DI.

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to describe the potential of formal mathematical reasoning of students in solving contextual story problems in terms of their mathematical ability level on Linear Equation System Material Two Variables and Three Variables In Class XII IPA Madrasah Aliyah Khulafaur Rasyidin Kubu Raya academic year 2017/2018. The research method used is descriptive with case study research. The chosen subjects were 20 students that divide be three group, then chosen three students of the group. The result of data analysis shows that students' formal reasoning ability is in accordance with their mathematical ability. That is, the students' formal math reasoning ability in solving contextual story that belongs to the upper group is included in the high category (46.67%), the students belonging to the middle group are included in the medium category (30%), and the students belonging to the lower group including in the low category (20%). Keywords: Ability, Potential, Formal Mathematical Reasoning

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi hambatan epistemologis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita materi persamaan linear satu variabel menggunakan pendekatan antisipasi didaktis di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 03 Sungai Kakap. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 4 orang siswa kelas VIII A. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif analitis dengan pendekatan studi kasus klinis. Hasil dan analisis data yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian adalah: Pendekatan antisipasi didaktis dapat mengatasi hambatan epistemologis problem solving siswa. Sebelum diberikan pendekatan antisipasi didaktis, keempat subjek terhambat pada semua langkah problem solving. Setelah diberikan pendekatan antisipasi didaktis hambatan pada langkah mengatasi masalah, menyusun rencana penyelesaian dan melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian dapat diatasi.  Kata kunci: Pendekatan Antisipasi Didaktis, problem solving, hambatan epistemologis  Abstract: the research work aimed to solve student epistemological obstacle in working on linear equation math story problem through didactic anticipation approach in grade VIII junior high school 03 Sungai Kakap. The participant of this study were 4 student of class VIII A. The research employed analytical descriptive method using clinical study case approach.  The research finding showed that didactic anticipation approach could overcome the epistemological obstacle of studentin doing problem solving. Before given this approach, the four student found obstacles in problem solving. After given the didactic anticipation approach, the epistemological obstacle in understanding the problem, devising a plan, and carrying out the plan is overcome.  Keywords: Anticipation didactic approach, problem solving, epistemological obstacle

AbstractCooperative learning belongs to one of the learning models that is often and practically used by teachers. Cooperative learning is a strategy of learning that involves the participation of students in a small group to interact with each other. Cooperative learning expected learning outcomes of students can make for the better. This research aims to describe the effectiveness of TAI type of cooperative learning on cartesian coordinate matter in class VIII SMPN 21 Pontianak. Research method used is descriptive method. Research design used are direct observation technique and measurement technique. The results are teacher?s class management categorized very good, student?s learning activities categorized active and student?s output not reach the classical completeness. Based on that result, the conclusion is TAI type of cooperative learning on cartesian coordinate matter in class VIII SMPN 21 Pontianak not effective because there is one category that can?t be fulfilled. AbstractMathematical literacy is an individual?s capacity to formulate, employ, and interpret mathematics in a variety of contexts. It includes reasoning mathematically and using mathematical concepts, procedures, facts, and tools to describe, explain, and predict phenomena. It assists individuals to recognise the role that mathematics plays in the world and to make the well-founded judgments and decisions needed by constructive, engaged and reflective citizens.This study aims to determine the level of students? mathematical literacy aspects of Content Space and Shape in junior high school 02 Sungai Raya. The answer in this study is to describe in detail in the form of a case study.The subjects of this study were 6 students of class IX A who were capable of upper, middle and lower with the object of their research mathematical literacy skills in the aspect of content space and shape in the three-dimensional materof cubes and beams. The results of the research on class IX A students showed that the two top-capable students were able to reach level 6 mathematical literacy aspects of content space and shape, two middle-capable students were able to reach level 3 mathematical literacy aspects of content space and shape, one lower-capable student was able to reach level 3 mathematical literacy aspect of content space and shape, and one lower-capable student is able to reach level 2 mathematical literacy aspects of content space and shape. This result implies that there are students who are able to reach above level 2 mathematical literacy aspects of space and shape content.Keyword:Mathematical Literacy, Level of Mathematical Literacy, Content Space and Shape

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses penyelesaian soal cerita pada materi perbandingan siswa kelas VII SMP. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian studi kasus. Ada 37 siswa yang dilibatkan dalam pengumpulan data. Hasil analisis data memperlihatkan bahwa siswa lebih mudah menyelesaikan soal cerita pada materi perbandingan senilai daripada perbandingan berbalik nilai. Dalam penyelesaian soal perbandingan senilai, siswa melakukannya sesuai dengan yang disarankan oleh Polya. Dalam penyelesaian soal perbandingan berbalik nilai siswa masih mengalami kesulitan. Adapun proses penyelesaian soal perbandingan berbalik nilai ialah setelah memahami masalah, melakukan perhitungan matematis tanpa membuat rencana dan memeriksa kembali hasil penyelesaiannya. Kata kunci: Proses Penyelesaian, Soal Cerita, Materi Perbandingan Abstract : This research aims to describe the process of solving word problem that students do in proporional problem on seventh grade of elementary school. The method is descriptive research with case studies form. The are 37 students involved in the collection of data. The result of analysis data is students more easily solve directly proportional rather than inversely proportional. In problem solving directly proportional, students do according the suggested by Polya. In problem solving inversely proportional students are still have difficult. There are process of solving the inversely proportion is after understanding the problem, they do the mathematical calculation without make the plan and looking back that examinations.
