<![CDATA[AbstractThe purpose of this research is to know the students' perceptions of the teaching ability of teachers of Economics in Class XI Social Sciences Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Mempawah Timur 2017/2018. The method in this research is the descriptive method. This is an ex post facto research. The population in this research is 129 student?s. The student?s of samples in this research is 60 student?s. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive method. The conclusion of this study is that students 'perceptions of teachers' teaching ability in the field of study are included in both categories in four competencies, namely pedagogic competence, personality competence, social competence, and professional competence. Suggestions that can be connected are firstly, the teacher of Madrasah Aliyah Timur Timur Economics is expected to increase understanding and experience of pedagogic competence, personality competence, social competence, and professional competence to support the success of teaching and learning through microteaching exercises. Secondly, besides that teachers are also expected to expand their knowledge and broaden their horizons by searching the literature to libraries or the internet to access actual information.
