Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis kesalahan siswa dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Matematika Materi Pecahan Bentuk Aljabar di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah 29 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, hasil wawancara, dan pembahasan, maka dapat disimpulkan : siswa melakukan kesalahan konsep, kesalahan prinsip, dan kesalahan kecerobohan. Yang menjadi faktor penyebab siswa melakukan kesalahan adalah siswa tidak dapat membedakan suku sejenis dan tidak sejenis, siswa tidak dapat menyamakan penyebut dengan menggunakan KPK, serta siswa kurang teliti dalam mengerjakan soal.   Kata kunci : Analisis Kesalahan, Pecahan Bentuk Aljabar This study aims to determine the types of errors of students in Solving Mathematical Problems Fractional Algebraic form of matter in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak in West Kalimantan. The method used is descriptive research with case study research form. Subjects in the study were 29 students. Based on the results of data analysis, interviews, and discussion, it can be concluded: students perform misconceptions, false beliefs, and errors of carelessness. Which become factors causing students to make mistakes is that students can not distinguish between similar and dissimilar parts, students can not equate the denominator by using the commission, as well as students are less rigorous in work on the problems.   Keywords: Error Analysis, Fractional Algebraic Form
