<![CDATA[AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of Canadian board media with canoe sprint simulation on canoe sprint rowing skills in beginner athletes of the Rowing Sports Student Activity Unit (UKM) of Tanjungpura University Pontianak. This study used an experimental method using the pre-experimental research design with one group pretest-posttest design. The population in the study is the group of beginner athletes of Rowing Sports Student Activity Unit of Tanjungpura University Pontianak. The data were taken through total sampling. The data collection technique used is the skill test using the canoe sprint. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and t-test. From the results of the analysis, there is a significant effect on the training using the Canadian board media with canoe sprint simulation on canoe sprint rowing skills of the athletes. The results of the t-test analysis showed the value of tcount is greater than ttable, 2,90 > 2,26. The percentage effect of using the Canadian board media with canoe sprint simulation on the canoe sprint rowing skills of the Rowing Sports Student Activity Unit (UKM) of Tanjungpura University Pontianak is 23%.
