Abstract

AbstractThe problem in this research is "Whether the use of audio media in learning can improve the listening skills of students in grade V of Elementary School 09 Pontianak North". Using descriptive method. Class Action Research Forms. Collaborative. Research subjects are teachers as researchers and students of class V, amounting to 28 people. Setting in class. Using the direct observation technique, the data collection tool of the observation sheet. Score data of teacher's ability to design and implement learning listening skills using children's audio story media as well as improvement of listening skill of class V students. The research was conducted 3 cycles, each cycle 1 meeting. The results achieved in this study the ability of teachers to design the learning cycle with an average score of 3.14, cycle II 3.42, cycle III 3.72. The ability of teachers to implement learning cycle I average 2.64, cycle II 3.62, cycle III 3.77. The listening skill of the learner of cycle I was average 72,39, cycle II 80,61, cycle III 82,96. The use of children's audio media stories can improve the listening skills of learners, so that both are used in learning, especially Indonesian aspects of listening. Keywords: Listening Skills, Audio Media, Children's Stories
