Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model problem based learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi wujud zat di kelas VII SMP Negeri 6 Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian quasi eksperimental dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik intact group, jumlah sampel sebanyak 70 siswa yang terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas VII C sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas VII D sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa essay. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen sebesar 73.28, sedangkan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas kontrol sebesar 64.25. Dibuktikan hasil uji Independent Samples T Test  dengan taraf signifikan α=5% menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara hasil belajar siswa  yang menggunakan model problem based learning dengan siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Nilai Effect Size yang diperoleh sebesar 0.59 dengan kategori sedang dan memberikan kontribusi sebesar 22.24%, artinya model problem based learning berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa.Kata Kunci : Model Problem Based Learning, Hasil Belajar, Wujud Zat Abstrack: The purpose of this research was to find out the effect of model problem based learning to word students learning out come on states of water material in SMP Negeri 6 Pontianak. This research was quasi experimental research. with non equaivalent group design. 70 students were partisipatial in this research, VII C class as a control group and VII D as an experiment group. The partisipant was take by intact group technic. The instrument that been used was essay. The result shown that, students were used model Problem Based Learning have higher result 73.28 compared conventional class 64.25. Based on the t test with significance level α = 5% indicated there were differences between students that taught by using model problem based learning with students that taught by using conventional learning model. The value of effect size is 0.59 with moderate category and gave the contribution 22.24%, it model problem based learning gave effect on student learning.Keywords : The Type of Model Problem Based Learning, Learning Outcomes, States Of Water Material
