The limitation of teaching materials causes students need for more interesting teaching materials because the teacher always uses textbooks. This study aims to produce interactive multimedia teaching materials in the form of electronic modules (e-Module), describe eligibility, and test the effectiveness of e-Module reading exposition text through SQ3R. The DDD-E model research methods, that is decide, design, develop, and evaluate. Data collection techniques through interviews and questionnaires in three schools. The results showed 1) successfully developed interactive multimedia teaching materials in the form of “e-Module reading exposition text through SQ3R using an android application”, 2) the overall feasibility of e-Module was declared "very feasible" by material experts, media experts, and practitioners with presentations assessments of 93, 95, and 95.75, 3) e-Module are quite effective in increasing the reading skills of exposition texts with N-Gain of (0.68), (0.67), and (0.67) included in the category " effective enough".Keterbatasan bahan ajar menyebabkan kebutuhan siswa terhadap bahan ajar yang lebih menarik sebab guru selalu menggunakan buku teks. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan bahan ajar multimedia interaktif berupa modul elektronik (e-Modul), mendeskripsikan kelayakan, dan menguji efektivitas e-Modul membaca teks eksposisi melalui SQ3R. Metode penelitian model DDD-E, yaitu Decide, Design, Develop, dan Evaluate. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan penyebaran angket di tiga sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) berhasil dikembangkan bahan ajar multimedia interaktif berupa “e-Modul membaca teks eksposisi melalui SQ3R menggunakan aplikasi android”, 2) kelayakan e-Modul secara keseluruhan dinyatakan “sangat layak” oleh ahli materi, ahli media, dan praktisi dengan presentasi penilaian 93, 95, dan 95.75, 3) e-Modul cukup efektif meningkatkan keterampilan membaca teks eksposisi dengan N-Gain sebesar (0,68), (0,67), dan (0,67) termasuk dalam kategori “cukup efektif”. Kata kunci: e-modul, teks eksposisi, aplikasi androidDOI Artikel: https://doi.org/10.23960/J-Simbol/v8i1.2020.01
