Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of turmeric extract (Curcuma domestica) with a different immersion time on the survival of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) infected with Aeromonas hydrophila bacteria. This study used an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The results showed that the percentage of survival of tilapia seed in treatments A is 25%, B is 25%, C is 33% and D is 25%. Results of analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that the treatment of turmeric extract with different immersion duration on the survival of tilapia infected by Aeromonas hydrophilic bacteria did not have a real effect. Water quality parameters during the study were still in normal conditions for the life of tilapia seeds. Katakunci: Ikan nila; ekstrak kunyit; perendaman; kelangsungan hidup; Aeromonas hydrophila; bakteri. Keywords: Tilapia; turmeric extract; immersion; survival; Aeromonas hydrophila; bacteria.
