PEMBELAJARAN SIMAYANG TIPE II UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN METAKOGNISI DAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS

Abstract

The aims of this research were to describe the effectiveness and practicality of SiMaYang Type II learning model in improving metacognition ability and critical thinking skills on topic of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions. One group pretest-posttest design was used in this research. The samples on this research were first year secondary students (X6 and X8classes) in SMAN 8 Bandar Lampung that was obtained by cluster random sampling. This study used descriptive analysis. The results showed that the effectiveness of SiMaYang type II were on high criteria and its practicality were on very high criteria in improving metacognition ability and critical thinking skills.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan keefektivan dan kepraktisan SiMaYang Tipe II dalam meningkatkan kemampuan metakognisi dan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit. Desain One Group Pretest-Posttest digunakan pada penelitian ini. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa tahun pertama (kelas X6 dan X8) SMAN 8 Bandar Lampung dengan teknik pengambilan sampel cluster random sampling. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan efektivitas model SiMaYang Tipe II dengan kriteria tinggi dan kepraktisan berkriteria sangat tinggi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan metakognisi dan keterampilan berpikir kritis.Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, efektivitas, metakognisi, kepraktisan, SiMaYang Tipe II
