Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan buku tiga dimensi berbahasa Inggris bermuatan cerita rakyat Kalimantan Barat yang relevan untuk pemahaman naratif peserta didik dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan tahapan penelitian pengembangan yang meliputi penelitian dan pengumpulan data awal, perencanaan, pengembangan produk, validasi, revisi produk, uji coba awal, uji coba lapangan, dan uji coba operasional. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa produk buku tiga dimensi berbahasa Inggris bermuatan cerita rakyat Kalimantan Barat dapat digunakan oleh peserta didik dengan mudah, menyenangkan, dapat dilakukan secara mandiri, dan tujuan pembelajaran tuntas dapat tercapai.   Kata Kunci : Pengembangan, buku tiga dimensi, pemahaman naratif Abstract : The aim of this study is to develop an English three-dimension book of West Kalimantan folklore which is relevant to learner’s narrative understanding in learning English. This qualitative research is done based on the common phases of research development which cover research and initial data collecting, designing, product developing, validating, product revising, early trials, field trials, and operational trials. The researcher concludes that English three-dimension book of West Kalimantan folklore can be effectively used by the learners easier, funnier, independently and achieve the mastery learning objectives.   Keywords : development, three-dimension book, narrative understanding.
