Abstract

Kemampuan berinteraksi sosial merupakan hal yang penting untuk dimiliki oleh setiap anak. Jean Piaget (dalam Schaefer, 2004:80) mengatakan, Social interaction is the key to development. As they grow older, children give increasing attention to how other people think and why they act in particular ways. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan berinteraksi sosial pada anak yang bermasalah di kelompok usia 5-6 tahun TK Barunawati Pontianak Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Sumber data terdiri dari 4 guru di kelompok anak usia 5-6 tahun, 4 orang tua subyek kasus, dan 4 anak sebagai subyek kasus. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa konsep diri anak merupakan faktor internal yang dominan mempengaruhi kemampuan berinteraksi sosial anak. Sedangkan dorongan dari guru merupakan faktor eksternal yang dominan mempengaruhi kemampuan berinteraksi sosial anak. Faktor yang paling dominan mempengaruhi kemampuan berinteraksi sosial anak adalah dorongan dari guru. Kata kunci: Kemampuan Berinteraksi Sosial, Faktor Dominan Abstract: Social interaction competence is important for every child. Jean Piaget (in Schaefer, 2004:80) said, Social interaction is the key to development. As they grow older, children give increasing attention to how other people think and why they act in particular ways. This research aims to describe factors which influence social interaction competence of maladjustment child at group of 5-6 years old in Barunawati Kindergarten in West Pontianak. The research method is qualitative with case study approach. The data sources consist of 4 teachers at group of 5-6 years old children, 4 parents of case subjects, and 4 children as case subjects. The result of data analysis showed that childs self concept was the dominant internal factor in influencing childs social interaction competence. Whereas teachers motivation was the dominant external factor in influencing childs social interaction competence. The most dominant factor in influencing childs social interaction competence was teachers motivation. Key words: Social Interaction Competence, Dominant Factor
