PENERAPAN METODE BERCERITA PADA ANAK USIA 5-6 TAHUN DI TK KEMALA BHAYANGKARI 14

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the application of storytelling methods in 5-6 years children in Kemala Bhayangkari 14 kindergarten Sungai Raya, Kubu Raya district, West Kalimantan. The research qualitative method. The subjects were teachers B2 group (age 5-6 years), 18 children children aged 5-6 years, and 3 parents of them. The results of data analysis indicated that: (1) The preparation done by teachers was RKH, pick a story, select props and adjust the position of the childrens seat; (2) Media used were books and dolls; (3) In the story telling, teachers exposed their ability; (4) children showed happy response; (5) ability that could be developed were cognitive, motoric, socio-emotional, imagination, achievement and concentration; (6) Constraints faced by teachers was they forgot name of story characters, the difficulty of getting the books, as well as the presence of guests in the classroom at the time of storytelling events took place. Keywords: Application, Storytelling Method, Qualitative Research Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode bercerita pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Kemala Bhayangkari 14 Sungai Raya Kab.Kubu Raya Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah guru kelompok B2 (Usia 5-6 Tahun), anak usia 5-6 tahun sebanyak 18 anak, serta 3 orang tua anak usia 5-6 tahun. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Tahap persiapan yang dilakukan guru yakni menyiapkan RKH, memilih cerita, memilih alat peraga dan mengatur posisi duduk anak; (2) Media yang digunakan berupa buku cerita dan boneka; (3) Dalam penerapan metode bercerita guru mengeluarkan keterampilannya bercerita dengan sangat baik; (4) Respon anak terlihat sangat senang; (5) Kemampuan yang dapat dikembangkan yakni bahasa, moral, kognitif, motorik, sosio-emosional, imajinasi, prestasi dan konsentrasi; (6) Kendala yang dihadapi guru adalah lupa nama tokoh cerita, sulitnya mendapatkan buku, serta kehadiran tamu di dalam kelas pada saat kegiatan bercerita berlangsung.
