Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to reveal the effectiveness implementation of Children Learning In Science (CLIS) model on remediation students misconception about air pressure material in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Ambawang Kab.Kubu Raya West Borneo Province. The research method which is used is experimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The study sample is 19 students. The result of data analysis shows degradation of student misconception after remediation for about 45,36%. Children Learning In Science (CLIS) model are effective for remediation student misconception toward the material with average proportion ?S is 0,53 (average category). Hopefully, this learning model can be use as an alternative remediation activity to improve the student misconception about air pressure material. Keywords: Remediation, Children Learning In Science Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model Children Learning In Science (CLIS) dalam meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi tekanan udara di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Ambawang Kab.Kubu Raya Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Postest Design. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 19 siswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terjadi penurunan miskonsepsi siswa setelah diberikan remediasi sebesar 45,36 %. Model ini efektif untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi tekanan udara dengan nilai rata-rata proporsi ?S yaitu 0,53 (kategori sedang). Model pembelajaran ini dapat dijadikan alternatif untuk memperbaiki miskonsepsi siswa pada materi tekanan udara. Kata kunci: Remediasi, Children Learning In Science
