Abstract

Basis utama bagi munculnya kreativitas adalah penggunaan pengetahuan yang telah ada secara imaginatif (kreatif) untuk menghasilkan suatu produk yang baru, tak biasa, dan bermanfaat. Penafsiran suatu masalah dengan cara yang baru dan berbeda (restructuring) dan inkubasi merupakan dasar tambahan bagi munculnya kreativitas. Upaya peningkatan kreativitas dapat dilakukan guru melalui penerapan strategi brainstorming dan model synectics.Kata kunci: kreativitas, basis kreativitas, brainstorming, model synectics

Abstract

Keberhasilan pendidikan sains turut ditentukan oleh pemilihan dan penggunaan buku teks dalam kelas. Pemilihan buku teks sains seharusnya didasarkan atas keriteria-kriteria yang mencakup faktor: (1) Isi dan organisasi materi ajar; (2) Pengembangan tujuan-tujuan non isi; (3) Aktivitas eksperimen, demonstrasi, dan keterampilan proses sains; (4) Ciri/tampilan mekanis; dan (5) Pengarang. Budaya textbook-centered dalam pengembangan sains harus diubah, karena pemahaman konsep-konsep sains tidak dapat dikembangkan melalui pembelajaran berpusat pada buku teks. Para ahli memberikan saran yang beragam terhadap buku teks sains masa depan. Salah satunya adalah buku teks masa depan seharusnya memakai peran sebagai alat yang penting (an esential tool) untuk pengembangan produk sains (logical plane), penerapan dan pengkaitan produk sains dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, masyarakat dan teknologi (evidential plane), dan pengembangan konsep sains agar mudah dipahami, masuk akal, dan berguna bagi siswa pada jenjang sekolah tertentu (psychological plane). Kata Kunci: kriteria buku teks, textbook-centered teaching, pembelajaran sains.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penyediaan bahan bacaan berupa buku saku terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi kalor di kelas VII SMP Negeri 5 Monterado. Bentuk penelitian yaitu kuasi eksperimen, dengan rancangan non equivalen pre-test post-test control group design. Tahapan penelitian meliputi: (1) Tahap observasi dan wawancara, yaitu mengobservasi tempat penelitian dan mewawancara guru mata pelajaran IPA; (2) Perencanaan, yaitu menyusun desain penelitian berdasarkan masalah yang ditemukan ditempat penelitian; (3) Validasi, yaitu penyusunan buku saku dan validasi buku saku serta validasi instrumen penelitian; (4) Penerapan, yaitu pemberian pre-test kemudian dilakukan penerapan pembelajaran berbantuan buku saku; dan (5) Evaluasi, yaitu pemberian post-test. Teknik pengumpul data yang digunakan yaitu teknik pengukuran, dengan alat pengumpul data berupa instrumen tes. Berdasarkan hasil validasi, buku saku layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran dan hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan buku saku berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi kalor. Kata Kunci: buku saku, hasil belajar, kalor.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan website pendaftaran kegiatan Praktek Pengenalan Lapangan (PPL) dan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) mahasiswa FKIP Untan yang valid dan layak digunakan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) dengan bentuk waterfall yang memiliki empat tahapan, yaitu Analisis, Design, Coding dan Testing. Alat pengumpul data adalah lembar validasi penilaian dan angket respon pengguna website. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa website yang dikembangkan valid dan layak digunakan ditinjau dari tampilan, proses pendaftaran, kemudahan akses dan pertahanan sistem dari virus dan pembobolan data serta pengguna memberikan respon positif yang tinggi dari penggunaan website dalam proses pendaftaran. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa website yang dikembangkan valid dan layak digunakan dalam proses pendaftaran peserta PPL dan KKN.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to find out student’s ability in solving the graph of work done by gas. The method of this research was a descriptive survey. 134 students of 12th grade in MAN 2 Pontianak were chosen as the sample of this research by using saturation sampling technique. Open-ended multiple choice items test (4 questions) and essay test (4 questions) were used to represent three indicators of student’s ability, and unstructured interview was also used to find out the factors that caused students’ error. Based on the analysis data, was found that the average of the ability of all sample in solving the graph of work done by gas was 39,03 (categorized as low). Based on the result of Mann Whitney U-Test, was found there is a significant difference (zcount: 2,73 >ztable: 0,997), that students with better mathematical ability (high group) have better ability in solving question on the graph of work done by gas than students with lower mathematical ability (low group). The students who were unable to solve the graph of work done by gas, were caused by low conceptual ability, low spatial ability, low remembering ability, low mathematical ability, and students’ lack of interest in the subject. These findings are expected to be the references to improve the students’ ability in solving the graph of work done by gas. Keywords:  Descriptive, Graph, Work Done by Gas, Student’s Ability.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of reflective journal writing activity along with corrective feedback on student academic performance in dynamic fluid subject on eleventh grade Pontianak State Senior High School 8. The research method used was an experimental method with quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design. Intact group random sampling technique was used to select samples from XI MIPA in Pontianak State Senior High School 8, and XI MIPA 4 was chosen as the experimental class while XI MIPA 3 as the control class. Academic performance data were taken using 25 multiple choice questions. Direct instruction learning models are used in both classes, with students in the experimental class given reflective journals (including exercises) as assignment which are accompanied by corrective feedback, while students in the control class are only given the exercises as assignment. Student scores in experimental class at pretest and posttest had average of 27.07 and 64.27, while in control class are 27.73 and 52.13. Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) U-test (? = 5%) shows that there is a significant difference (0,001) in the posttest scores of students in experimental and control classes, with Cohen?s effect size d value of 1.02 (high category). Keywords: Reflective Journal, Corrective Feedback, Academic Performance, Dinamic Fluids

Abstract

AbstractThis research was aimed to known effectiveness the SQ3R reading technique to remediate students? misconceptions on solar system in SMP Negeri 4 Pontianak. Sample of this research was students? from 7th grade (N=32). Diagnostic test which consisted 10 three tier multiple choice test used to known students? conceptions. Based on the result of data analysis found the average decrease of students? that misconceptions after being given remedial learning equal to 33%. The result of McNemar test shown there was significant conceptual change  (?2hitung = 51,17; df = 1; ? = 0,05). The average of gain value was ?g?=0,58 (medium). It is expected that SQ3R reading technique can be used as an alternative remediation activities to overcome students? misconceptions. Kata Kunci: Miskonsepsi, Remediasi, SQ3R, Tata Surya

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the multi-representation errors of students in solving straight motion kinematics problems at SMKN 1 Sintang. The research method used is descriptive comparative. A total of 65 grade X students of SMKN 1 Sintang who were taken intact from the population were included as the study sample. Data collection techniques used in this study are written measurement techniques and direct communication techniques (interviews). This study found the average percentage of errors of multi-representation students in solving straight motion kinematics problems by 84%. There were no significant differences in multi-representation errors among high, medium and low ability students. This study also found the cause of multi-representation errors, namely students are not accustomed to using multiple representations in solving problems, low understanding of concepts and forgetting concepts in the material. Seeing these problems, the teacher needs to give problem training and train students to use multi-representation in learning, especially when solving questions and providing motivation to students both inside and outside the learning activities. Keywords: Multi-representation Error Analysis, Solving Problem, Straight Motion Kinematics

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh model pembelajaran NHT berbantuan simulasi PhET terhadap penurunan jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi pada materi fluida dinamis di SMAN 1 Sungai Raya. Bentuk penelitian ini berupa pre-experimental designs dengan rancangan one-group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 32 orang siswa kelas XI IPA 2 SMAN 1 Sungai Raya. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa teknik pengukuran menggunakan tes obyektif berbentuk pilihan ganda dengan alasan sebanyak 9 soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa remediasi menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT berbantuan simulasi PhET berpengaruh terhadap penurunan jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi pada materi fluida dinamis di SMAN 1 Sungai Raya secara signifikan dengan  dan tingkat keefektifan remediasi tergolong sedang (0,62). Miskonsepsi dominan yang dialami siswa pada materi fluida dinamis yaitu semakin besar luas penampang yang dilalui fluida, semakin kecil pula tekanan fluida yang mengalir (43,8% siswa). Kata Kunci : Remediasi, NHT, PhET, penurunan jumlah siswa yang miskonsepsi   Abstract: This research aims to determine and describe the influence learning model NHT assisted PhET simulation to decrease the number of student who have misconception on dynamic fluids material at SMAN 1 Sungai Raya. This research is pre-experimental designs with one-group pretest-posttest designs. The study sample consisted of 32 student of class XI Science 2 SMAN 1 Sungai Raya. Data collection techniques used is measurement technique consist of 9 question using multiple choice objective test with reasons. The results showed that remediation using cooperative NHT learning assisted PhET simulation effect on decreasing the number of students who have misconceptions on dynamic fluid material in SMAN 1 Sungai Raya significantly with and the effectiveness of remediation were moderate (0.62). The dominant misconceptions experienced by students in the dynamic fluid material is the greater the cross-sectional area through which the fluid, the less the pressure of the flowing fluid (43.8% students).
