<![CDATA[Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara minat membaca karya sastra dengan kemampuan menulis cerita pendek siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Kecamatan Sambas Kabupaten Sambas tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk kuantitatif. Sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah 45 siswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa hasil perhitungan minat membaca karya sastra siswa mencapai 66,84%. Ketercapaian tersebut masuk dalam kategori cukup baik. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa hasil perhitungan kemampuan menulis cerita pendek siswa mencapai 72,6%. Ketercapaian tersebut menunjukkan kategori cukup baik. Hasil dari perhuitungan korelasi dengan rumus product moment bahwa hasil tersebut 0,40% dengan kategori cukup kuat.
