Abstract

AbstractThis study was motivated by the concern about the lack of students? ability in learning music, especially skills in playing musical instrument. One of the possible reason is due to the lack of talent and interest towards music class. The research questions were: (1) Howis learning rhythm pattern through non-conventional percussion instruments for eight-grade students of SMPN 9 Pontianak planned? (2) How is learning rhythm pattern through non-conventional percussion instruments carried out? (3) How does the application of rhythm-pattern lesson using non-conventional percussion instruments improve students? ability in music?.The methodology employed in this study was qualitative method using classroom action research. This is evidenced by (1) the observation notes in the cycle I, II, and III, (2) the improvement of the percentage of students? understanding and ability that rises from 25% (categorised as low) in pre-cycle to 30% (medium category) in cycle I. Thus, a significant upsurgeis observed in cycle II and III which is categorised as high, accounting 50% and 90% respectively.In the pedagogical implication, teacher should use non-conventional percussion instruments to attract learners? motivation in learning as well as to create a positive classroom atmosphere.Key words: Rhythm Pattern, Non-conventional Percussion Instrument.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to describe the planning, implementation, the learning outcomes in writing procedure text instruction using the 3M (observing, imitating, adding) technique. This is a classroom action research on class VII students of SMPN 3 Sungai Betung, conducted in two cycles. The research method used was descriptive in the form of qualitative research. Data were analyzed qualitatively to determine the achievement level of learning outcomes in quantitative form using a simple statistical method. The findings showed that the 3M technique improved the students? learning outcomes. (1) The planning in cycles I and II was in accordance with the steps in the selected technique; However, one step of the technique had not been included in the lesson plan and had been revised in cycle II. (2) The implementation in cycle I had run well; However, one of the learning steps in the lesson plan had not been done and had been revised in cycle II. (3) The learning outcomes, as seen from the average of the test in cycles I and II improved from 59.5 to 71.6. Abstract

Abstrak: Masalah penelitian ini adalah emosi positif dan negatif tokoh utama dalam novel Supernova Episode Petir karya Dewi Lestari dan implementasi dalam pembeljaran di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan submasalah tersebut. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan teori psikologi behavioristik B.F. Skinner yang menyatakan bahwa tingkah laku manusia merupakan respon yang disebabkan oleh stimulus lingkungannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, bentuk kualitatif, dan pendekatan psikologi behavioristik. Melalui pendekatan ini, peneliti dapat mengetahui pikiran dan perilaku tokoh utama pada novel Supernova Episode Petir karya Dewi Lestari. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Supernova Episode Petir karya Dewi Lestari, sedangkan datanya adalah kata, frase, dan kalimat yang menunjukkan pikiran dan perilaku tokoh utama yang dikutip dari novel Supernova Episode Petir karya Dewi Lestari. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi dokumenter sebagai pengumpul data dan alat pengumpul datanya peneliti sendiri sebagai instrumen utama. Kata kunci : emosi, tokoh, novel. Abstract: The problem of this research is of positive and negative emotions of the main character in the Novel Supernova Episode Petir by Dewi Lestari and in the learning implementation at the school. The purpose of this research was to describe the sub-problem. The research also used the theory of Behaviorist Psychology B.F. Skinner who argued that human behavior is a response to a stimulus that is caused by the environment. This research uses descriptive method, a qualitative form, and the behaviorist psychology approach. Through this approach, researchers can identify the thoughts and behavior of the main characters in the Novel Supernova Episode Petir by Dewi Lestari. The source of the data in this research is Novel Supernova Episode Petir by Dewi Lestari, while data are words, phrases, and sentences that show the thought and behavior of the main characters are quoted from the Novel Supernova Episode Petir by Dewi Lestari. This research uses the documentary studies as collecting of data and its instrument of the researcher is herself as the main instrument. Keywords: emotions, the character, the novel.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was motivated by the researcher’s desire to identify the process of Indonesia Language subject implementation text based that has been done by the teacher. The method of research in this study is descriptive method qualitative as the form of this study. The data sources in this study are the teacher and the students. The technique of data collections are using observation technique, interview and documentation. The tools of data collection is observation guidelines (APKG), recording sheet, and documentation tools. The result of this study is a lesson plan (RPP) arranged by the teacher had described there was an activity in learning Indonesia language text based and already meet the criteria in Pemendikbud Number 22 Year 2016 about the standard of process Dikdasmen. Implementation of learning which implemented by the teacher was already appropriate to RPP, it showed there was an activities in learning text based, and it had met criteria in Pemendikbud Number 22 Year 2016 about the Standard of Process Dikdasmen. Evaluation that had been done by the teacher already appropriate to an evaluation to learning Indonesia language text based and already met criteria in Pemendikbud Number 22 Year 2016 about the Standard of Process Dikdasmen.  Keywords: Text-Based Indonesian Language Learnin

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis  teks negosiasi menggunakan metode inkuiri pada siswa kelas XF SMK SMTI Pontianak tahun pembelajaran 2015/2016.  Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi rendahnya keterampilan menulis  teks negosiasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dan  bentuk penelitiannya adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Sumber data penelitian ini adalah guru, siswa dan  dokumen. Data dalam  penelitian ini adalah RPP, hasil observasi dan hasil belajar menulis teks negosiasi. Teknik yang dilakukan dalam penelitian  ini adalah teknik pengukuran, observasi dan studi dokumenter. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini mengalami peningkatandari segi proses dan hasil belajarnya. Berdasarkan kriteria penilaian dalam menulis teks negosiasi mengalami peningkatan  mulai dari aspek isi, struktur, kosakata, kalimat dan mekanik.  Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa sebelum melakukan PTK dengan rata-rata  62,7.  Kemudian, hasil menulis siswa pada siklus I dengan menggunakan metode inkuiri mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata 72,3. Selanjutnya, nilai pada siklus II meningkat lagi dengan rata-rata 76,2. Berdasarkan data tersebut terjadi peningkatan setelelah menggunakan metode inkuiri . Kata Kunci: keterampilan menulis, teks negosiasi, metode Inkuiri Abstract: This study to aims to improve the skill of writing negotiation text using method of inquiry in class XF SMK SMTI Pontianak in learning 2015/2016. This research is motivated weak students write a negotiation text. This research the reseacher using descriptive methode and clasroom action research as the research study (CAR) . The source of data collecting in this research  are the teacher, the students and the document. The data in this study is the RPP, observed and learned to write the negotiating text. The technique implemented in this study is the measurement technique is test text negotiations to determine the results of students' writing and techniques nontes through observation and documentary. The results of the study the average value of student learning outcomes before CAR with an average of 62,7. The results of the student's writing on the first cycle of use of the method of inquiry has increased by an average of 72,3. The value in the second cycle with an average of 76,2. Based on the data of the student's writing, from the first cycle kesiklus II also increased. Keywords: writing skill, text negotiation, inquiry method.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatahui hubungan kebiasaan membaca karya sastra dengan kemampuan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya dalam mengapresiasi cerpen. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya dengan jumlah 31 siswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kebiasaan membaca karya sastra mencapai presentase 78,65% dengan kategori baik. Kemampuan siswa mengapresiasi cerpen mencapai presentase 52,38% dengan kategori kurang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa hubungan kebiasaan membaca karya sastra dengan kemampuan siswa mengapresiasi cerpen memiliki hubungan yang sangat rendah.   Kata Kunci: Kebiasaan Membaca, Apresiasi Cerpen Abstract: The aims of this study were to know the relation reading literature habits with student clas VIII Public Junior High School 1 Sungai Raya ability to appreciate short story. Descriptive method was used in this study with quantitave form. The samples of this study were the students of Junior High School 1 Sungai Raya class VIII with the number of student is 31 students. The result showed reading literature habits percentage reaches 78,65% with category good. Percentage to ability appreciate short story is 52,38% with category mediocore. Based on the result of analysis could be concluded that the relation the habits of reading literature with the ability to appreciate short story is very low relation.   Keywords: Reading Habits, Apeciatte Storiette

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mengetahui pengaruh  metode discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar memahami struktur teks cerpen siswa kelas VIIC SMP Kristen Immanuel 2 Sungai Raya. Bentuk penelitian adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian ini adalak kelas VIIC sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIID sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda berjumlah 20 soal. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen  15,8, sedangkan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas kontrol 14. Berdasarkan uji U Mann-Whitney dengan tarf signifikan  a = 5% menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan metode discovery learning dengan siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran saintifik. Nilai effect size yang diperoleh  sebesar 1,07 dengan lategori sedang dan  memberikan kontribusi sebesar 36,77% artinya metode discovery learning berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa.   Kata Kunci: pengaruh, discovery learning, pemahaman, struktur teks cerpen Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of discovery learning method for learning outcomes to understand the text structure of stories graders VIIC Immanuel Christian SMP 2 Sungai Raya. Form of research is a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. This research sample adalak VIIC class as a class experiment and VIID as the control class. Instruments used in the form of multiple choice tests are 20 questions. The average student learning outcomes experimental class of 15.8, while the average student learning outcomes control class 14. Based on the Mann-Whitney U test with significant and often aloof sphere a = 5% indicates that there is a difference between learning outcomes of the students taught using discovery learning methods with students who are taught using a model of scientific learning. Values obtained effect size of 1.07 with lategori medium and contributed 36.77% means that discovery learning methods influence on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif pada siswa kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dalam 3 siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif dapat meningkatkan hasil berbicara  pada siswa kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Pontianak. Sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif nilai rata-rata siswa 57. Setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif siklus I nilai rata-rata berbicara siswa 59,29,. Pada siklus II nilai berbicara siswa 72,29. Sedangkan pada siklus III nilai rata-rata siswa menjadi 78,55. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penelitian tindakan kelas menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif dapat meningkatakan keterampilan berbicara pada siswa kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Pontianak.   Kata kunci: Keterampilan Berbicara, Model pembelajaran Kooperatif Abstract: This research in order to improve the skills of speaking through the learning models cooperative in grade X MAN 1 Pontianak. This research used the method of descriptive by using the research a class  action carried out in three cycles. The result showed that of the cooperative learning can improve the skills of speaking in grade X MAN 1 Pontianak. Before using this method the average value of the students is 57, meanwhile after using the first cycles of the cooperative learning the average value of the speaking is 59,29. In the second cycles 72,29 and the last cycles become 78,55. Then it can be concluded that action class by using the cooperative learning can be improve the skills of speaking students in grade X MAN 1 Pontianak.   Keywords : Skills of speaking, The Cooperative Learning Model.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran menyimak berita di kelas VII SMP LKIA Pontianak tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Secara lebih khusus penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan menentukan pokok-pokok berita, menarik kesimpulan isi berita, penggunaan media, penilaian pembelajaran, dan hasil pembelajaran menyimak berita di kelas VII SMP LKIA Pontianak. Metode dan bentuk yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah guru mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia dan siswa kelas VII sebanyak 34 siswa. Hasil yang dicapai siswa dalam pembelajaran menyimak berita sudah cukup baik, karena terdapat 18 siswa  yang sudah mencapai nilai KKM > 75, sedangkan siswa yang tidak mencapai nilai KKM <75 sebanyak 16 siswa.   Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran, Menyimak, Berita Abstrack: This research had a purpose to describe of listening news of seventh grade students at SMP LKIA Pontianak in a academic year 2015/2016. Specifically, this research was aimed to describe in determining the headline news, drawing the conclusion of the content news, media usage, learning assessment, and the learning outcomes of the news listening instruction to the seventh grade students of SMP LKIA Pontianak. The method and the shape that was used in this research was descriptive qualitative. The source of the data in this research was the Indonesian language teacher and  the seventh grade students were about 34 students. The result that was achieved by the students in learning the listening news were enough well, because there were 18 students had achieved KKM score >75, meanwhile the student did not achieved KKM score <75 almost 16 students. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena lagu Singkawang Kota Tasbih ini memiliki keunikan yang terletak pada melodi dan lirik. Masalah umum penelitian bagaimana analisis motif melodi dan makna lirik lagu Singkawang Kota Tasbih di Kota Singkawang. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis deskriptif dengan bentuk kualitatif serta menggunakan pendekatan musikologi. Sumber data penelitian yakni Khalik Syah, Sudiono dan Riki Purnama. Data penelitian adalah motif melodi dan lirik lagu Singkawang Kota Tasbih di Kota Singkawang dan hubungan antara lirik lagu Singkawang Kota Tasbih dengan kehidupan masyarakat Kota Singkawang. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah teknik observasi dan wawancara. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan teknik perpanjangan pengamatan dan triangulasi dengan teknik analisis isi. Hasil penelitian yaitu: 1) motif melodi lagu Singkawang Kota Tasbih di Kota Singkawang terdapat motif melodi yang berbentuk pengulangan harafiah, ulangan pada tingkat lain (sekuens), pembesaran interval, pengecilan interval dan pembesaran nilai nada  2) terdapat makna lirik dari setiap baris yang menggambarkan kondisi Kota Singkawang yang tentram, aman sehat, bersih indah harapan dan selalu mengingat sang pencipta (3) terdapat hubungan antara lirik lagu Singakawang Kota Tasbih dengan kehidupan masyarakat Kota Singkawang yakni berhubungan dengan  Tuhan, hubungan antar masyarakat, dan masyarakat dengan  alam. Kata kunci: motif melodi dan lirik lagu. Abstrack: The Background of this reserch is because Singkawang Kota Tasbih have uniqueness in it’s melody and lyrics. The major problem of research how to do melody motive analysis and meanings of Singkawang Kota Tasbih song lirycs in Singkaawang City. The method of this research is descriptive analysis method with qualitative form using musicology approach. Source of the research data are Khalik syah, Sudiono and Riki purnama. In research data are melody  motive and Singkawang Kota Tasbih in Sngkawang city’s song lyrics and the connections between the song lyrics with the life of Singkawang citizens. The data incorporation technique was observation technique and interview. Data validity technique using extenson research technique and triangulation with contents analysis technique. The reserlts of the research are : 1) the melody motives of the song had melody motives which formed in literal repetition, repetition in another level (sekuens), interval enlargement, interval diminution  and note value diminution 2) there are meanings in every live of the lyrics which represent the peaceful, healthy and sofe, clean beautiful hope and always remember the song lyrics with the citizen’s life in Singkawang which related to the God, ralations between citizens and relation between citizens and nature.   Keyword: Melody motive and Song lyrics.
