<![CDATA[Abstract This research aims to find out the effectiveness of using experimental learning methods about newton's law to improve the students learning results of SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak. The research method used was an experimental method with a quasi-experimental design of the nonequivalent control group design with the research sample of the VIIIA control class and the VIIIB experimental class of 54 students selected by purposive sampling. The data collection tool used was a learning achievement test consisting of 20 pretest and posttest questions in the form of multiple choices. According to the gain classification, the results of data processing showed that students experienced an increase in learning outcomes by using experimental learning methods with a moderate category (0.4).
