Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan tentang penggunaan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis masalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPS di kelas VI SDN 01 Singkup. Metode penelitan yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian deskriptif dalam bentuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Adapun Hasil penelitian (1) Pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan aktivitas fisik siswa, siklus I rata-rata aktivitas siswa yang muncul sebanyak 4,75 orang (59,37%). Siklus II rata-rata aktivitas siswa yang muncul sebanyak 5,75 orang (71,87%). (2) Pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan aktivitas mental siswa yaitu rata-rata kemunculan siswa Siklus I sebanyak 3,33 orang (41,63%). Siklus II rata-rata kemunculan siswa sebanyak 6,33 orang (79,13%). (3) Pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan aktivitas emosional siswa yaitu siklus I rata-rata kemunculan siswa sebanyak 4,33 orang siswa (54,13%). Siklus II rata-rata kemunculan siswa sebanyak 6,33 orang siswa (79,13%). The methods of research used in this research is descriptive research in the form of classroom action research. The results (1) problem-based learning approach in learning can increase students' physical activity, the average first cycle of student activity that appears as 4.75 people (59.37%). (3) problem-based learning approach in learning can improve students' emotional activity of the cycle I mean the emergence of students as much as 4.33 students (54.13%).
