AbstractThis thesis is titled "Case Study of Children with Difficulties in Socializing with Peers in Class VII Pontianak 18 Middle School". A common problem in this study is "How to overcome students who have difficulty socializing with peers in class VII Pontianak 18 Public Middle School". The purpose of this study is to help students who have difficulty socializing with peers in class VII Pontianak 18 Public Middle School.The approach used in this study is qualitative using descriptive methods. The form of this study is a case study. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and home visits.The results of research subjects who have difficulty socializing with peers are quiet children, shy, like to withdraw from the group and have difficulty controlling emotions. The causes include internal factors such as psychological and physiological factors, external factors such as family, school and society. The alternative assistance provided is by using a behavioral approach with stages: 1. Conducting assessments, 2. Setting goals, 3. Implementing techniques, and 4. Evaluating and ending.Based on the results of the conclusions above, suggestions for the subject of the case in order to continue to run the alternative assistance that has been given. Suggestions are to continue to establish social relations with other people so that the case subject can be someone who can be accepted by others and the environment.
