PENGARUH PROBLEM SOLVING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR DAN RESPON SISWA PADA MATERI HIDROLISIS GARAM DI SMA

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membedakan hasil belajar siswa yang diberi pembelajaran dengan model problem solving dengan siswa yang diberi pembelajaran dengan model konvensional, dan menentukan besar pengaruh model pembelajaran problem solving dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar serta respon siswa pada materi hidrolisis garam di kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan bentuk nonequivalent control group design. Hasil analisis data posstest menggunakan uji U Mann Whitney dengan α = 5% diperoleh hasil Sig (2- tailed) sebesar 0,033. Hal ini menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan antara hasil belajar siswa yang diberi pembelajaran dengan model problem solving dan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Model pembelajaran problem solving memberikan pengaruh sebesar 34,85% terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil angket menunjukkan respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan model problem solving dengan tingkat persetujuan sebesar 76,25% adalah termasuk kategori baik. Kata kunci: Problem Solving, hasil belajar, hidrolisis garam Abstract: The aims of this research are to differentiate student’s learning outcome that taught using problem solving learning with using conventional learning, and determine the influence of problem solving learning to increase student’s learning outcome and student’s response  in “salt hydrolysis” subject matter in class XI SMAN 10 Pontianak. Types of the research is Quasy experiment with nonequivalent control group design research’s program. The result of posttest data analysis used U Mann Whitney statistic with  = 5% that obtained Sig (2- tailed) is about 0,033. That are differences between students learning outcome that taught using problem solving learning and conventional learning. Problem solving learning give influence to improve student’s learning outcome about 34,85%. The questionnaire results show students response about problem solving learning is about  76,25%, it belongs to good category.Keywords: Problem Solving, learning outcome, salt hydrolysis
