Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) Mendeskripsikan tingkat pemahaman konseptual dan pemahaman algoritmik mahasiswa pendidikan kimia FKIP UNTAN pada materi larutan asam basa. 2) Mendiskripsikan tingkat kemampuan berpikir formal mahasiswa pendidikan kimia FKIP UNTAN pada materi larutan asam basa. 3) Mengetahui hubungan antara kemampuan berpikir formal mahasiswa pendidikan kimia FKIP UNTAN dengan pemahaman konseptual pada materi larutan asam basa. 4) Mengetahui hubungan antara kemampuan berpikir formal mahasiswa pendidikan kimia FKIP UNTAN dengan pemahaman algoritmik pada materi larutan asam basa. 5) Mengetahui hubungan antara pemahaman konseptual dengan pemahaman algoritmik mahasiswa pendidikan kimia FKIP UNTAN pada materi larutan asam basa.  Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan meliputi bentuk penelitian deskriptif dan korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa tahun ke II tahun ajaran 2012/2013 program studi pendidikan kimia FKIP UNTAN. Pada penelitian ini diambil sampel secara purposive. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa :1) Sebanyak79,50% mahasiswa pendidikan kimia FKIP UNTAN pada tingkat berpikir transisi dan sisanya berada pada tingkat berpikir formal (10,25 %) dan konkret (10,25 %). 2) Mahasiswa pendidikan kimia FKIP UNTAN memiliki pemahaman algoritmik dengan kategori sangat kurang  2,56%, kurang 30,77%, cukup 38,46%, baik 28,20%, sangat baik 2,56% dan yang memiliki pemahaman konseptual dengan kategori sangat kurang 29,20%, kurang 38,46% , cukup 20,51%, baik 10,25%, sangat baik 2,56%. 3) Terdapat hubungan yang sangat lemah dan signifikan antara kemampuan berpikir formal dengan pemahaman algoritmik mahasiswa pendidikan kimia FKIP UNTAN 4)Terdapat hubungan yang sangat lemah dan signifikan antara kemampuan berpikir formal siswa dengan pemahaman konseptual pada materi larutan asam basa dan 5) Terdapat hubungan yang sangat sangat lemah antara kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal pemahaman konseptual dengan pemahaman algoritmik pada materi larutan asam basa.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diberi pembelajaran menggunakan model Learning Cycle 7E dengan siswa yang diberi pembelajaran menggunakan model  konvensional  dan mengetahui besarnya pengaruh penggunaan model  Learning Cycle 7E terhadap hasil belajar siswa di SMA Kristen Abdi Wacana Pontianak. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel dipilih berdasarkan teknik cluster random sampling. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan terdiri dari soal pretest, posttest dan pedoman wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil uji U-Mann Whitney, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diberi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Learning Cycle 7E dengan siswa yang diberi pembelajaran menggunakan model konvensional. Pembelajaran dengan model Learning Cycle 7E memberikan pengaruh sebesar 33,65% terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit di SMA Kristen Abdi Wacana Pontianak.   Kata Kunci: Learning cycle 7E, hasil belajar, larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit   Abstract: This research aims to know the differences in learning outcomes among the students taught by using 7E Learning Cycle  models with the students taught by using conventional models and effect of  application of 7E Learning Cycle  models to increase the learning outcomes at SMA Kristen Abdi Wacana Pontianak. Non equivalent control group design was applied as research. Samples were taken by means of cluster random sampling. Pretest, posttest and guidlines interview were used to collect data. Based on U-Mann Whitney test, it can be concluded there was a difference in learning outcomes between  the students taught by using 7E Learning Cycle  models with students taught by using conventional models. Learning model with 7E Learning Cycle influenced by 33.65% towards an increase in student learning outcomes in electrolyte and non- electrolyte solution materials at SMA Kristen Abdi Wacana Pontianak. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dan penurunan kesalahan konsep siswa setelah diremediasi dengan refutation text serta seberapa besar efektivitas refutation text dalam meremediasi kesalahan konsep siswa pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan di kelas XI MIA SMAN 7 Pontianak. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan bentuk nonequivalent control group design. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampel jenuh dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 65 siswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes berbentuk esai berjumlah 5 soal. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen di mana rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen sebesar 72,22 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 50,58. Efektivitas refutation text dalam meremediasi kesalahan konsep siswa materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan adalah 0,70 tergolong sedang yang berarti pemberian remediasi dengan refutation text memberikan pengaruh sebesar 25,80%. Kata kunci: Remediasi, Refutation Text, Kesalahan Konsep. Abstract: The aim of this study is to determine whether there is a difference in student learning outcomes and decrease misconceptions students once remediated with refutation text and how much effectiveness refutation text remediate students' misconceptions on the material solubility and solubility product in class XI MIA SMAN 7 Pontianak. The type of this research is a quasi experimental research form nonequivalent control group. The sample in this study are collected by saturated sample with a sample size of 65 students. The research instrument in the form of an essay in the form of tests consist of 5 questions. Based on the results, there are differences in learning outcomes of students between classes and grade control experiments where the experimental class average of study result is 72,22 while the control class is 50,58. Effectiveness refutation text to remediate student?s misconceptions of matter solubility and solubility product is classified as moderate 0.70 which means the provision of remediation with text giving effect Refutation of 25.80%. Abstract

AbstractThe purposes of this research are to investigate:1) The differences in student learning outcomes between taught Videoscribe media and learning without Videoscribe  media in class X SMA Mujahidin Pontianak. on chemical bonding material 2) The influence of learning with  Videoscribe media the learning outcomes in class X SMA Mujahidin Pontianak on chemical bonding material. The form of the research was quasy experiment with nonequivalent control group design. Sample selection technique was random sampling. Instrument of the research was of test.  To find out the differences in student learning outcomes used the U-Mann Whitney test, based on the results of the hypothesis test obtained the value of Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.033, the test  result showed that there was a difference between student learning outcomes taught Videoscribe media and student learning outcomes taught without Videoscribe. Learning using Videoscribe learning media in class X SMA Mujahidin Pontianak on chemical bonding material giving the influence of 19.85% toward  student learning outcomes.Keywords: Videoscribe learning media, learning outcomes, chemical bonds.

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diberikan pembelajaran role playing dengan metode ceramah, besarnya pengaruh serta respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan model role playing pada materi hidrokarbon kelas X SMA Santo Fransiskus Asisi Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan penelitian ?Nonequivalent Control Group Design?. Sampel penelitian diperoleh dengan teknik Cluster random sampling. Tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk essay dan angket respon siswa digunakan sebagai alat pengumpul data. Berdasarkan analisis data menggunakan uji U-Mann Whitney, diperoleh nilai Asymp. sig.((2-tailed) 0,030 yangmenunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil dari perhitungan Effect Size (ES) diperoleh nilai sebesar 0,95 yang menunjukkan penggunaan role playingmemberikan pengaruh sebesar 32,89% terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Respon siswa kelas eksperimen terhadap pembelajaran model role playing pada materi hidrokarbon diperoleh tingkat persetujuan rata-rata sebesar 76,93% dengan interpretasi tergolong kuat. Kata Kunci: role playing, hidrokarbon, hasil belajar, dan respon. Abstract:This research aimes to knowthedifferences in learning outcomes between the student are given learning by model of role playing and lecture methods, the magnitude of the effect and response of students to the learning model of role playing in X grade of SMA Santo Fransiskus Asisi Pontianak. The research method was quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The study sample was determined by Cluster random sampling technique. Achievement test in the form of essays and student responsesquestionnaire were used as a instrument. Based on data analysisusing the U Mann-Whitney test, obtained value Asymp. sig. ((2-tailed) .030  indicating that there was a difference in student learning outcomes. The results of calculation of Effect Size (ES) obtained a value of 0.95, which shows the use role playing gives the effect of 32.89% on improving student learning outcomes. Response of  students experimental classon learning model of role-playing in the hydrocarbon material obtained approval levels by an average of 76.93% were classified as strong. Abstract

AbstractThe aims of this research is to know the difference and how much influence of learning process using molyikov  to student learning outcomes on covalent bonding material. The population of this study is all students of grade X IPA SMA Negeri 1 Meliau academic year 2017/2018. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling. Data collecting techniques used are measurement techniques and direct communication techniques. Instrument assessment used is the test of learning outcomes. The sample used in this research is class X IPA 1 as control class and class X IPA 2 as experiment class. The design used in this research is control group pretest-posttest design. The results showed statistical test of U Mann-Whitney Gain Score test, giving Sig value. (2-tailed) = 0,000 <0,05 which states Ho is rejected means that there are differences in learning outcomes between control class students given learning without using molyikov media and experimental class given learning by using molyikov media. The influence of learning using molyikov media gives 35.54% influence on learning outcomes in covalent bond material of grade X SMA Negeri 1 Meliau students. Keywords: molyikov, learning outcomes, covalent bonds.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to describe the problem solving ability in chemical calculation material in XI class students of SMAN 10 Pontianak. This research method was descriptive study with instrument in the form of 6 problem solving in essay. The subject were students of SMAN 10 Pontianak in XI IPA 1 students academic year 2016/2017 consisted of 38 students. The results showed that the average percentage of problem solving ability in chemical calculation material in XI IPA 1 students of SMAN 10 Pontianak were : (1) determining the number of molecules of a substance if known volume at temperature and certain pressure the amount of 76,76%, (2) calculating the number of moles of a substance at standard temperature and pressure (STP) the amount of 84,67%, (3) calculating the gas volume at constant pressure the amount of 41,67%, (4) determining a molecular formula of a compound the amount of 48,67%, (5) calculating the element level in a compound the amount of 80%, (6) predicting the volume of gas produced in a reaction at room temperature and pressure (RTP) the amount of 36,33%.    Keywords: Problem Solving Ability, Chemical Calculation

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan strategi pembelajaran Card Sort dengan strategi pembelajaran konvensional pada materi koloid kelas XI SMAN 10 Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu (Quasi Exsperimental Design) dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah “Nonequivalent Control Group Design”. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol dan XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diperoleh dengan teknik  Purposive Sampling. Tes hasil belajar dan angket motivasi siswa digunakan sebagai alat pengumpul data. Berdasarkan analisis data posttest dan angket motivasi belajar siswa dengan menggunakan uji U Mann Whitney (α = 5%) diperoleh nilai Asymp.Sig(2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 dan 0,000. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar antara siswa yang diberi pembelajaran  menggunakan strategi pembelajaran Card Sort dengan siswa yang diberi pembelajaran  menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Pembelajaran  menggunakan  strategi  pembelajaran Card Sort pada materi koloid di SMAN 10 Pontianak memberikan pengaruh sebesar 34,38 % dengan kategori tinggi terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Kata Kunci: Strategi Pembelajaran Card Sort , Hasil Belajar, Motivasi Belajar, Koloid Abstract: The aims of this study was to determine whether motivation and learning outcomes of students have a significant difference after being taught using Card Sort  and conventional strategies on colloidal material class XI SMAN 10 Pontianak. Form of the study was "Nonequivalent Control Group Design". Samples were students of class XI IPA 2 as the control class and XI IPA 1 as  experimental class. They were selected through simple random sampling technique. Pretest, posttest and questionnaire were used to collect data. According to test result, and questionnaire data analysis using U Mann Whitney test (α = 5%), Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) were 0.000 and 0.000 respectively. These meant that there was a significant difference in learning outcomes and learning motivation among students who were taught using Card Sort and conventional strategies. Learning using Card Sort strategy had 34.38% influence on increasing students learning outcomes on colloidal properties of matter at SMAN 10 Pontianak. Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to describe  the ability of students to solve HOTS questions on acid-base material and what factors influence students in solving HOTS questions on acid-base material. The form of research uses descriptive research. The research sample was FKIP Tanjungpura University. Chemistry education students in the 6th semester were 58 students. The ability of chemistry education students to solve hots questions was measured using essay written tests, and unstructured interviews. The research instrument was validated using the Gregory test matrix. The results showed that the ability of chemistry education students to solve hots was classified as moderate. This are indicated by the moderate percentage of the indicator at 69.2%. This proves the ability of chemistry education for each indicator are high. Factors affecting the ability of students are the lack of understanding the Bronsted-Lowry concept, not understanding the formula of vinegar acid levels and the difficulty in describing the strong acid and strong base titration curves.Keywords: The Ability, High Order Thinking Skill, Acid-Base Material

Abstract

Abstract : This research aims to know the differences the students learning outcome before and after remediation with the effectiveness of remediation by using refutation text in reducing the students misconceptions at XI IPA of SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Ambawang in the academic year 2015/2016 on the chemical equilibrium matter. The form of this research is a quasi-experimental (Pre-Experimental Design) by One-Group Pre-Test Post-Test design. The data processed are 26 students by using purposive sampling technique. The test used is diagnostic test in form of essay questions. Based on the analysis of the data, the decrease average percentage of the students misconception is 45,6%. The difference in the students learning outcome tested with paired t-test and the results of the significance obtained 0,000. The effectiveness of remediation toward refutation text in chemical equilibrium concepts is 0.54 and classified as medium category. Remediation by using refutation text is effective in reducing the students misconception. Key Words: refutation text, remediation, misconceptions.
