<![CDATA[The aim of this research is to describe the process of loan element in adopting the novel Ayat-Ayat Cinta by Habiburrahman El Shirazy, the forms of loan element in the adoption process of the novel Ayat-Ayat Cinta by Habiburrahman El Shirazy, the meaning of the loan element in the adoption process of Ayat-Ayat Cinta by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. This research is qualitative descriptive which describes the quotation or expression in the novel Ayat-Ayat Cinta by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. The data used in this research is primary data which is adopted through the process of adoption and adaptation in the novel Ayat-Ayat Cinta bby Habiburrahman El Shirazy. From the result of the research, it can be concluded that there are 210 expressions of loan element which is derived from English and Arabic language through the process adoption and adaptation. From the process of adoption, there are 57 quotations which derives from 25 quotations of English and 32 quotations of Arabic language. Meanwhile the total of process adaptation is 153 quotations in which 116 quotations is from English and 37 from Arabic language. Those 57 quotations of adoption has denotative meaniang in which 25 of the quotations is from English and 32 quotations is from Arabic language. Moreover, it is found that the denotative meaning from adaptation proses is 153 quotations in which 116 quotations is from English and 32 quotations is from Arabic language.]]>
