Abstract

ABSTRAKPertumbuhan ekonomi dan industri yang berkembang, berdampak pada peningkatan pergerakan lalu lintas.Kerusakan lapisan perkerasan umumnya dipengaruhi pori dan rongga yang besar akibat pemadatan pelaksanaan kurang baik, mengakibatkan air masuk ke struktur perkerasan melalui retak dan celah sehingga membentuk lubang.Kepadatan mutlak dimaksudkan sebagai kepadatan tertinggi yang dapat dicapai oleh campuran sehingga campuran tersebut tidak dapat menjadi padat lagi, untuk memperkecil pori dan ronggapada campuran perkerasaan digunakan metode pemadatan alat Marshall dan Percentage Refusal Density.Kadar aspal yang memenuhi spesifikasi Marshall berada pada rentang 5,95% dan 6,85% sehingga KAO diperoleh sebesar 6,4% dibulatkan 6,5%. Benda uji campuran Percentage Refusal Density menggunakan KAO sebesar 6%, 6,5% dan 7%, untuk membandingkan nilai VIM.Hasil penelitianmenunjukan bahwa pemadatan menggunakan alat Percentage Refusal Density nilai kepadatan lebih besar, kepadatan semakin besar nilai VIMrefusal lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan VIM Marshall dan KAOrefusal diperoleh 6,2%.Kata Kunci: Kadar Aspal Optimum, Percentage Refusal Density, VIMRefusal, ABSTRACTEconomic growth and industry development impacted to the enhancement to traffic movement. Pavement damage generally affected by large pore and void due to poor compaction, which resulted the water could get into the pavement structure through crack and gap and forming holes. The absolute density means the highest density (maximum) that can be achieved by the mixture that the mixture cannot become more solid, to minimize voids and pores in the mixture then used the method of Marshall tool compaction and Percentage Refusal Density. Asphalt content that meets the specification of Marshall is in the range of 5,95% and 6,85% that OBC value gained is 6,4% rounded to 6,5%. The specimen of Percentage Refusal Density used OBC value of 6%, 6,5%, and 7% to compare the value of VIM obtained. The result showed that compaction using Percentage Refusal Density tools produce bigger density value, with bigger density it means that the value VIMrefusal is smaller than VIM Marshall and OBCrefusal value obtained is 6,2%.Keywords: Optimum Bitumen Content, Percentage Refusal Density, VIMRefusal,
