The purpose of this study was to determine the misconceptions of students and reduce students' misconceptions by using the REACT model. This research is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The research sample was taken by purposive sampling technique. The subjects of this study were students of Senior high School  Batik 1 Surakarta. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests, observations, and interviews with students who were identified as experiencing misconceptions. The instrument used was a three-tier diagnostic test to determine student misconceptions and decrease student misconceptions. The results showed that there was a misconception of the students on the concept of redox reaction. Misconceptions occur in all concepts in the redox reaction concept material, with a mean of misconceptions that occur by 63.89% and 51.32%. After learning using the REACT model (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring), there was a decrease in the percentage of students' misconceptions
