Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this service program is to find a solution to problems that have environmental potential and utilization of freshwater fish resources where people only sell raw fish and the main problem in marketing the harvest is when the fish harvest is feasible but the selling price of fish the market goes down, the community suffers losses, even the harvest is not able to cover production costs. Through the Community Service (PPM) program in Sukamahi Village, Sukaratu District, Tasikmalaya Regency, the potential for fish resources can be diversified into various preparations, for example, making dumplings made from catfish which contains a distinctive taste image but still maintains its protein value. The implementation method is by conducting initial site observations, Focus Group Discussions and training which was attended by 30 participants. The results of the activity received a positive response from the community such as wet preparations in the form of catfish dumplings. Partners can increase their knowledge and skills regarding the diversity of fish product innovations as an alternative to selling fresh fish to the market. This alternative can be a use value and economic value for the community as a form of local-based food security which is an advantage of the village's resources.
