The Covid-19 pandemic has had a complex impact on various aspects, one of which is food security. Efforts are needed from below to prevent and overcome food problems, especially for affected areas. Social capital is the availability of mutual trust in society, norms, and networks that can be utilized by the community in order to solve common problems. This study aims to determine the process of social capital within the framework of the Rukun Warga (RW) Siaga in preventing and overcoming household food problems during the Covid-19 pandemic in Bekasi City by using a descriptive type of research conducted through a qualitative approach. The results of the analysis in this study found that the process of social capital carried out by the community which was also facilitated by the Bekasi City Government through the RW Siaga program has been running well as evidenced by the strong trust in the community, active participation in encouraging the government to provide appropriate assistance and forming collaboration between communities that to create household food security during the Covid-19 pandemic.
