The problem in this study is the learning difficulties experienced by students in solving math story problems. At SD Negeri Pebatan 03 students with a total of 28 children 30% based on the second semester test scores are still below the KKM score <62. The purpose of this study is to describe learning difficulties and the factors that cause learning difficulties in students. This type of research is qualitative with the subject of class IV teachers and students who have difficulty learning mathematics. The techniques used to collect data are observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data used is source triangulation and technique triangulation. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the difficulties experienced by students were difficulties in counting, lack of understanding of mathematical language, and difficulties in visual perception. While the factors that cause learning to participants come from internal factors include; level of intelligence/intelligence, learning concentration, attitude and behavior, motivation, self-confidence, study habits, non-functioning senses, memory, and fatigue, while the external factors include; family, school, and community.
