The activity of calculating the volume cut and fill in road works is generally depicted on a cross-section drawing in accordance with the road pavement plan. The distance between the cross-section of the road is determined by certain distance intervals marked with STA notation. The difference in the distance between STA intervals in each project implementing agency will affect the volume cut and fill obtained. Therefore, this study will analyze the cross-section distance interval in calculating the volume using the average end area method and its effect on straight and curved roads. The results of the volume calculation at each interval will be compared with the data that is considered correct. The volume calculation data that is considered correct is the result of manual calculation of the volume of the 25 meter STA interval profile data. The difference between the calculated volume and the volume that is considered correct will be analyzed using standard deviation and ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) tolerance test method with a tolerance limit of 2.78%.Keywords: ASTM, curved road, cut volume, fill volume, straight courseÂ
