<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of pedagogical competence and school facilities on the interest and learning achievement of social studies students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 9 Pematang Siantar T.A 2022/2023. This type of research is quantitative using a quantitative approach method and with ex-post facto research. The population in this study was 253 and the research sample was 72 obtained by the slovin formula with an error rate of 5%. The population and research sample are class VIII students at SMP Negeri 9 Pematang Siantar. Data collection techniques using observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that there was an influence of pedagogical competence on student interest in social studies class VIII at SMP Negeri 9 Pematang Siantar T.A 2022/2023. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of pedagogical competence and school facilities on learning interest and learning achievement.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui Pengaruh Kompetensi Pedagogik dan Fasilitas Sekolah Terhadap Minat dan Prestasi Belajar Siswa Mata Pelajaran IPS Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Pematang Siantar T.A 2022/2023. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif dan dengan penelitian ex-post facto. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 253 dan sampel penelitian sebanyak 72 didapat dengan rumus slovin tingkat kesalahan 5%. Populasi dan sampel penelitian yaitu siswa/siswi kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 9 Pematang Siantar. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa adanya pengaruh kompetensi pedagogik terhadap minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 9 Pematang Siantar T.A 2022/2023. Maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan Kompetensi pedagogik dan Fasilitas sekolah terhadap Minat belajar dan Prestasi belajar.]]>
