<![CDATA[Rapid developments in the construction industry make top management of a project pay more attention to workers who are active in the project, especially those related to safety aspects. The problem of work accidents that occur in Indonesia every year is still relatively high. In general, there are two things that cause work accidents, namely unsafe actions and unsafe conditions. Behavior-based safety is one way that can be used to intervene unsafe actions into safe actions in order to get zero injury. This research was conducted with the aim to determine the effect of unsafe action factors on behavior-based safety in construction project workers in Surabaya. This study used a cross-sectional design, involving 30 workers. Data was collected through filling out questionnaires, then analyzed using multiple linear regression tests. The results showed that unsafe action, unsafe action motivation, perceptions of obstacles, regulations and policies, supervision, availability of personal protective equipment and hazard communication simultaneously affect behavior-based safety.Keywords: unsafe action; behavior-based safety; construction workers ABSTRAK Perkembangan pesat industri konstruksi membuat top management pada suatu proyek harus lebih memperhatikan pekerja yang beraktivitas di proyek tersebut, terutama yang berkaitan dengan aspek keselamatan. Permasalahan kecelakaan kerja yang terjadi di Indonesia setiap tahunnya relatif masih tinggi. Secara umum terdapat dua hal yang menjadi penyebab terjadinya kecelakaan kerja yaitu unsafe action dan unsafe condition. Behaviour-based safety adalah salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk mengintervensi unsafe action menjadi safe action dalam rangka memperoleh zero injury. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh faktor unsafe action terhadap behaviour-based safety pada pekerja proyek konstruksi di Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan cross-sectional, yang melibatkan 30 pekerja. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengisian kuesioner, selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa unsafe action, motivasi unsafe action, persepsi terhadap hambatan, peraturan dan kebijakan, pengawasan, ketersediaan alat pelindung diri dan komunikasi bahaya, secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap behavior-based safety.Kata kunci: unsafe action; behavior-based safety; pekerja konstruksi]]>
