PENGARUH KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS DAN SIKAP ILMIAH TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP IPA SISWA SMP

Abstract

This research was a quasi-experimental research which has the aimed to determine (1) the influence of science process skills toward science concepts understanding; (2) the influence of scientific attitudes toward science concepts understanding; and (3) the influence of science process skills and scientific attitudes toward science concepts understanding. This research was implemented in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Seputih Banyak school year 2014/2015 with the design study was a one-shot case study. Based on the results of research and discussion, we concluded that (1) there was no significant relationship between science process skills toward science concept understanding; (2) there was a significant and positive effect between the scientific attitudes toward science concept understanding with a coefficient of determination of 65.4%; and (3) there was a significant and positive influence between science process skills and scientific attitudes toward science concept understanding with a coefficient of determination of 66.5%.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu yang memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui (1) pengaruh keterampilan proses sains terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA; (2) pengaruh sikap ilmiah terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA; dan (3) pengaruh keterampilan proses sains dan sikap ilmiah terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Seputih Banyak tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one-shot case study. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa (1) tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara keterampilan proses sains terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA; (2) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dan positif antara sikap ilmiah terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 65,4%; dan (3) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dan positif antara keterampilan proses sains dan sikap ilmiah terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 66,5%.Kata kunci: keterampilan proses sains, pemahaman konsep IPA, pengaruh, sikap ilmiah
