Abstract

ABSTRACTResearch was conducted to assess water pollution due to any pesticide residues on theUmbulrejoRiver. Research areas were taking from four sampling site representing of the agricultural activity there on theUmbulrejoRiver. From each sampling site at the point, sample taken on the water, sediment and benthos that were founded. Results show that pollution of  profenophos residues in the stremflow are sufficiently significant. The concentration of the profenophos residues at site 1 on water 12,07 ppm, sediment 0,093 ppm and benthos 0,062 ppm; at site 2 water 4,21 ppm, sediment 0,224 ppm and benthos 0,211 ppm; at site 3 water 0,034 ppm , sediment 0,091 ppm and benthos 0,182 ppm; at site 4 water 0,071 ppm , sediment 0,416 ppm and benthos 5,131 ppm. It shown that agricultural activities in the Umbulrejo River  was polluted the river.
