The era of the Industrial Revolution (4.0) was a challenge for all walks of life, including education. Transformative education from an early age is encouraged to respond to the demands of the times. But the nature of education should not be injured in the effort to form personality in children. Then character education must be rooted in the child, so that the stimulation of positive teaching in children will become the foundation. Therefore, soft skill education is needed for early childhood in the 4.0 era. This study used a descriptive qualitative study with the object of research on the children of RA Wathoniyah Kendal. As for data collection techniques with observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of research on strengthening children's soft skills with character education must be instilled from an early age through daily habits. Strengthening soft skills is outlined in the education unit level curriculum (KTSP) which is reflected in the unit's vision and implemented in activities included in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in the unit. Strengthening Soft Skills makes children with religious character, honest, tolerant, disciplined, hard working, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, national spirit, love for the motherland, respect for achievement, communicative, love peace, love to read, care for the environment, care for social , And Responsibility. Supporting factors in strengthening soft skills in children are creativity, patience and example from educators in habituating children's daily activities, while the inhibiting factors are the inconsistent role of parents accompanying children's habituation while at home
