Motivasi Belajar Siswa pada KD Keterampilan Mata Pelajaran Seni Budaya Bidang Seni Rupa Masa New Normal di Kelas VIII

Abstract

Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan motivasi belajar intrinsik dan ekstrinsik siswa pada KD Keterampilan mata pelajaran seni budaya bidang seni rupa masa new normal. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian mencakup siswa kelas VIII SMP. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik area sampling ditentukan berdasarkan adanya strata wilayah populasi yaitu terdapat sekolah di daerah kecamatan dan daerah pedalaman. Pengambilan sampel di daerah kecamatan diambil secara random 43 siswa dan daerah pedalaman diambil secara total 40 peserta didik. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala likert. Teknik analisis data menerapkan teknik deskriptif persentase. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar intrinsik siswa di daerah kecamatan dikategorikan tinggi (70,63 persen) dan di daerah pedalaman dikategorikan tinggi (67,89 persen). Sedangkan motivasi belajar ekstrinsik siswa di daerah kecamatan dikategorikan tinggi (71,07 persen) dan di daerah pedalaman dikategorikan rendah (61,95 persen). Beberapa indikator yang menyebabkan rendahnya motivasi belajar ekstrinsik siswa di daerah pedalaman yaitu: (1) kurang adanya pujian dari guru ketika siswa mampu menyelesaikan tugas dengan tepat waktu, (2) kurang adanya teguran dari guru ketika siswa tidak menyelesaikan tugas dengan tepat waktu, dan (3) lingkungan tempat tinggal siswa yang kurang mendukung keberhasilan pembelajaran. Kata kunci: New Normal; Motivasi Belajar Intrinsik; Motivasi Belajar Ekstrinsik Student’s Learning Motivation on The Basic Competence of Cultural Arts Subject Skills of The Fine Arts in New Normal Period at 8th Grades The aim of this study was to describe the intrinsic and extrinsic learning motivation of students in KD Skills of cultural arts subjects in the field of fine arts during the new normal period. This research applies a quantitative descriptive approach. The study population included students in grade VIII of junior high school. Sampling using the area sampling technique was determined based on the strata of the population area, namely there are schools in the sub-district and rural areas. Sampling in the sub-district area was taken randomly 43 students and the inland area was taken in total 40 students. Data collection used a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Data analysis techniques apply descriptive percentage techniques. The results of the study showed that the intrinsic learning motivation of students in the sub-district area was categorized as high (70.63 percent) and in the rural area was categorized as high (67.89 percent). Meanwhile, the extrinsic learning motivation of students in sub-district areas is categorized as high (71.07 percent) and in rural areas is categorized as low (61.95 percent). Some indicators that cause low extrinsic learning motivation of students in rural areas are: (1) lack of praise from teachers when students were able to complete assignments on time, (2) lack of reprimands from teachers when students did not complete assignments on time, and (3) students' living environment that was less supportive of learning success.
