The character KH. Salimi Mamba'ul Ulum was the choice of researchers because it is unique in not encouraging students to attend formal school at the high school level or equivalent and subsequent levels, this situation is generally referred to as Nyantri Salaf. Its implementation during his time as a caretaker at the al-Salimiyyah Islamic boarding school, which is located in an urban community, gave rise to ideas in the religious, social and cultural fields as well as his struggle for Salafist traditions. This study uses a historical biographical method with a behavioral approach which aims to see how characters interpret the situations they face and the consequences of their actions. The research results show that the thoughts produced by K.H. Salimi Mamba'ul Ulum are a manifestation of what he did during his lifetime. The thought that was born by K.H. Salimi in the religious, social and cultural fields is directly proportional to his struggle to establish Islamic boarding schools, community service institutions, Ramadan safaris and the al-Salimiyyah children's educational park. The results of this research show that K.H. Salimi Mamba'ul Ulum has succeeded in realizing his thoughts and struggles in the religious, social and cultural fields.
