Abstract

This article examines the manuscript of the Kamus Mu’jam al-Qur’an, which is a collection of mosques in the Popongan, Klaten Pashantren Complex and has been informed from conventional to digital by the Pushlitbang Lektur and Khazanah Religion Ministry of Religion RI. This manuscript not only serves as a source of religious texts, but also has certain characteristics that reflect the history, traditions, and values contained therein. The purpose of this research is to study the specific characteristics of this manuscript. The research method used in this research is philology with two approaches namely codicology and textology. The results and findings in this study are first, from the codicological aspect. The manuscript is in good condition and still readable. In the script there are surah names, verse numbers, and verse keywords. In this manuscript there's no pages on every sheet. This manuscript is written in Arabic. This script is threaded. Consists of 1 booklet with a total of 37 pages. The paper size is 21x17 cm while the text size is irregular. But it is not written according to a good or perfect writing method. As for the majority of script writing using black, green, and red ink is used on certain signs. This manuscript has eight keywords: al-Asrār, dīnu yusr, ihsān, abrār, sulh, ‘ilm, ‘adamu taqlid, and al-‘amal. Second, from a textological aspect. The manuscript contains several scholia, among which are the scholia correction of errors, keywords, descriptions of letters, different ink colors in the manuscript, reading marks, Wakaf marks and corrupt texts. This research is expected to provide a new insight into the importance of the Kamus Mu’jam al-Qur’an as a source of knowledge and understanding of religion, as well as its contribution to the development of the study of the Quran in Indonesia.
