The purpose of this study was to describe the impact of gadget use on children's psychosocial development in Sekolah SD Negeri 22 Kendari. This study used a qualitative approach with 10 informants selected with purposive sampling techniques. The data in this study was obtained through interviews, observations and documentation studies, the data obtained were then analyzed qualitatively with an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this study show that in the use of gadgets by children, there are positive and negative impacts that need to be considered. Gadgets provide access to online learning and introduce them to the development of modern times. The ease of communicating through social media is also a positive aspect, improving children's technological skills. However, negative impacts such as stress, anger, anxiety, and depression also appear as a reaction to mental stress. Parents play an important role in controlling the use of gadgets, by providing directions, time limits, supervision, and alternative activities. Parents' awareness to limit gadget time and replace it with joint activities and get used to reading with children is a positive step in minimizing the negative impact of using gadgets
