Abstract

Abstact: Quantitative Descriptive Study of Online Game Addiction In Psychology Students, Padang State University. The purpose of this study was to find out the description of online game addiction in Psychology students at Padang State University. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The sample in this study was obtained through a purposive sampling technique which the researcher had determined based on the criteria. The scale of this study uses an internet disorder scale that is spread directly and through gform. Subjects in the study amounted to 115 respondents. The results of the study as a whole show that around 39.1% of online game addiction among psychology students is in the mild category.   Abstrak: Studi Deskriptif Kuantitatif Kecanduan Game Online Pada Mahasiswa Psikologi Universitas Negeri Padang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran kecanduan game online pada mahasiswa Psikologi Universitas Negeri Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini didapatkan melalui teknik purposive sampling yang telah peneliti tentukan berdasarkan kriteria. Skala penelitian ini menggunakan skala gangguan internet disorder yang disebar secara langsung dan melalui google form. Subjek dalam penelitian berjumlah 115 responden. Dari hasil penelitian secara keseluruhan menunjukkan sekitar 39.1% kecanduan game online pada mahasiswa psikologi berada pada kategori ringan.
