<![CDATA[Basically, education is the activity of forming, guiding, and directing human children to a good life and achieving certain educational goals that are aligned with the goals of human life, so this article aims to obtain an overview of the role of school principals in the development of an independent learning curriculum. This research is a study using the Miles and Huberman model. Research data was obtained from the documentation. The results of the research findings show that: (1) The principal plays a role as a supervisor as well as a change leader in educational institutions. (2) The independent learning curriculum is student-centered educational program planning, in which educational units have autonomy in developing their curriculum. (3) The principal has a strategic role in the curriculum development process.]]>
