Abstract

The curriculum development process is urgent in facilitating learners to achieve a specific educational goal in an institution. This study aims to analyse the development of the Arabic curriculum at Baitul Arqom Jember Islamic boarding school. This research is a descriptive qualitative research using the type of case study. The data collection method used observation, interview and documentation. The collected data was analysed with Miles and Huberman's interactive model, which consists of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that Baitul Arqom Islamic Boarding School is a muadalah Islamic boarding school alumni of PMDG Gontor and has gone through several stages of Arabic curriculum development, namely curriculum development at the national level, institutional level, class level, and learning level. Abstrak Proses pengembangan kurikulum mempunyai urgensi dalam memudahkan pembelajar mencapai satu tujaun pendidikan tertentu di sebuah institusi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengembangan kurikulum bahasa Arab di pondok pesantren Baitul Arqom Jember. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan jenis studi kasus. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi dan data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan model interkatif Miles dan Huberman, yang terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pondok Pesantren Baitul Arqom adalah pondok pesantren muadalah alumni PMDG Gontor dan telah melalui beberapa tahapan pengembangan kurikulum bahasa Arab, yaitu: pengembangan kurikulum tingkat nasional, tingkat lembaga, tingkat kelas, dan tingkat pembelajaran.
