<![CDATA[Tujuan penelitian menganalisis proses penyidikan terhadap pelaku tindak pidana perjudian online pada wilayah hukum Polres Polewali Mandar. Tipe penelitian ini adalah penelitian hukum empiris. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses penyidikan terhadap pelaku tindak pidana perjudian online pada wilayah hukum Polres Polewali Mandar belum efektif karena di Polres Polewali Mandar masih terkendala alat yang digunakan dalam proses bedah forensik terhadap barang bukti digital atau barang bukti yang digunakan sebagai alat elektronik dan Ahli Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik (ITE) juga belum ada di Polewali Mandar, sehingga penanganan kasus perjudian online lebih sering dilimpahkan ke Polda Sulawesi Barat. Adapun faktor yang mempengaruhi proses penyidikan terhadap pelaku tindak pidana perjudian online pada wilayah hukum Polres Polewali Mandar antara lain faktor hukumnya yaitu undang-undang, faktor penegak hukum atau sumber daya manusia, faktor sarana dan fasilitas, faktor biaya, dan faktor masyarakat. The research objective is to analyze the investigation process of perpetrators of online gambling crimes in the jurisdiction of the Polewali Mandar Police. This type of research is empirical legal research. The results of the research show that the investigation process for perpetrators of online gambling crimes in the Polewali Mandar Police jurisdiction has not been effective because at the Polewali Mandar Police Station, there are still problems with the tools used in the forensic surgery process for digital evidence or evidence used as electronic tools and Information Experts and Electronic Transactions (ITE) also do not yet exist in Polewali Mandar, so the handling of online gambling cases is more often delegated to the West Sulawesi Regional Police. The factors that influence the investigation process for perpetrators of online gambling crimes in the jurisdiction of the Polewali Mandar Police include legal factors, namely laws, law enforcement or human resource factors, facilities and facilities factors, cost factors, and community factors.]]>
