This research aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning model on students' critical thinking abilities in science learning in class V at SDN 02 Bengkayang. This research uses a quantitative approach and experimental methods which aim to help students hone and develop their critical thinking skills. The data analysis techniques used are normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test (t) using the SPSS version 22 application program. The data collection techniques used are observation, and tests in the form of essay questions. Based on the results of this research, learning using the Problem Based Learning model has an effect on the critical thinking abilities of class V students at SDN 02 Bengkayang.
